Witcher 2 Trailer Introduces the Kingslayer

The new Witcher 2 trailer introduces Xbox 360 owners to the imposing might of the Kingslayer.

NOTE: The following video is awesome but contains spoiler-ish content. Consider yourself warned!

Behind every good RPG lies a great villain, and if you've been paying attention you'll know that The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is a very good RPG indeed. So let me introduce you to the Kingslayer, a scarred, hulking beast of a man collecting the heads of kings, whose path inevitably crosses that of the White Wolf himself, Geralt of Rivia.

This isn't actually our first encounter with the Kingslayer. In January we got to watch him ply his trade against King Demavend in the wickedly awesome Witcher 2 intro trailer [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/trailers/5310-The-Witcher-2-Assassins-of-Kings-CGI-Intro-Trailer]. He's a very bad man, and very, very good at what he does.

So, it's been a while since I watched the Let's Play of this game that I was watching, but... isn't a big part of the game finding out that this guy is the kingslayer? I mean, that seems pretty important.

Nope you find out when you arrive in flotsam like 20 minutes after the prologue i think.

Well, disregard my non-witchery knowledge then. Also I'm very surprised that Chrome says "Witchery" is a word.
EDIT: Actually no I'm not. It's late and I'm just being all dumb and stuff.

Not even then, you find out at the end of the tutorial. The flash-back part of the tutorial.

I'm a tad peeved that they're doing a collectors edition for Xbox that has stuff the PC version didn't.
I already paid a lot of money for the top tier collectors edition, and I don't even have an Xbox but I'm still tempted by the Dark edition, if for nothing other than the medallion.

It'd be nice if they offered it as something you could purchase separately, Witcher merchandise in general would be good.

Of course in saying all that, the pictures I've seen of the Dark Edition so far all show the medalion looking kindof flat, hopefully its not the case.

Kingslaying has become such an important career path for magnificent bastards it's basically an occupation now rather then a title. Last I heard they were trying to unionize for a better healthcare plan (after all, scars and hand removals are a hazard of the job).

Looking forward to this, didn't get an chance to play it on PC so the console version will have to do.
