I still don't see what you're getting at. Yes, Troll Trouble was "deliberately withheld", but it was available to download from day 1 for anyone who bought a copy. It was also not integrated into the story in a way that would make the game an "incomplete experience" without it. They didn't charge anyone for it, it was just a "thank you for not pirating the game" bonus.

Is their horrible crime that it was possible to notice the "slot" where it fits in the game?

OT: Back in 2007, I bought a new PC specifically to play The Witcher. With every bit of news about The Wild Hunt, it seems more and more likely I will do the same.

I'm failing to see what the issue is. It was a day one update...

It was incorporated into the game, nobody had to pay a dime for it. How is it in any way a bad thing beyond what is essentially "oops, 'forgot' to code that part in - here ya go".
