Special Editions are nothing new to gaming. A few neat extras for some more money. Definitely not the worst thing in gaming. Hell, I've even bought a few of them myself when they've been part of a series I've really enjoyed.

I must admit though, Wolfenstein's special edition really caught my eye. For one reason in particular.

I mean, has this happened before? That there's been a special edition of a game, without, you know, the actual game?

I just can't help but laugh in all honesty. It just adds to what has been a bit of an odd week for news.

Well, the lack of the game certainly makes it special. I'm curious as to what the point of it is if the game isn't included. It seems more like a random licensed product you'd find at a specialty store rather than a special edition. It's all very odd and a little confusing.

For what it's worth, here's the reason that's given on the site where you can buy it

This collector's edition does not include a copy of the game. Keep your pre-order at your favorite retailer and we'll send you these goodies separately?this way we can ship these boxes worldwide and you're not stuck waiting for your game to come along with an oversized, expensively shipped box.

Truth or Bullshit?

YOU DECIDE!
