I love Wolf.

Both RtCW and the latest Wolf are games which don't really seem like much, but I like to replay both now and then. Not only are paranormal Nazis really fun, the games are also really well polished. Especially the latter Wolf, which probably has the best method of weapon-switching on a console. No, you're not limited to 2 weapons! You carry the whole arsenal and it's great.
Hmmm... a whole arsenal of weapons, you say? Sounds intriguing.

Not sure about the alternative history thing. The nazis on the moon movie (forgot the name) showed you can fuck up even that. Also, if it's not done by someone who 'gets' the id style (i.e. id and Raven only) I'll rather hold my breath. Nonetheless if it's going to be good, I'll be happy.
Fallout did the alternate history thing and didn't fuck it up (story and lore wise I mean). Also it seems a if they're going for a fairly easy to depict alternative history setting, so there isn't *that* much to screw up. And also, Mechs, a perfect fit.

More shooters with crazy setting please.
Hell yes.

Captcha: Sauerkraut. Krauts, yes. Sauer, we'll have to see.

Oh, baby.

Wolfenstein is one of my favorite guilty pleasures, and just one of the most entertaining shooters out there. I try not to get hyped about this stuff anymore, but this is an exception.

Plus, ex-Starbreeze employees? Lord have mercy!

The last Wolfenstein had a lot of potential. I absolutely loved all the mid-level mini boss super powered Nazis. They were numerous and distinct enough where you always wanted to use different abilities and tactics. Having an open game world was a good idea.

However, the boring plot, bland characters, open world with nothing actually IN it, and moronic boss fight at the end (remember the goon at the bar in the opening? Yeah we gave him all your powers and a pair of chain guns... go!)

This has potential as well. Softworks earned a little leeway with Dishonored so I'll wait until actual gameplay footage before I make a decision on this.

It's sad that I'm super excited to have a (pseudo-) WW2 game. Alternate History Magical Nazis With Robots?

Yeah, I'm on board.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't May 7th, 1945 when Germany unconditional surrendered?

If so, that's pretty clever they picked today to reveal this.

In the trailer he says "while I was gone". Presumably he skipped the intervening years somehow, either through cryogenics, time travel, or some other method.

I only have one concern: bug testing. Bethesda I love you but bug test.

I loved the Batlestar Galactica reference, of mechs riding to the sound of Jimmy Hendrix. I will buy it!

Sir, you got the feelings in my heart and made them into words. Bethesda, please debug the thing before you charge us for it!

There is too much confusion indeed...
Bethesda / MachineGames doing Wolfenstein on the id Tech 5 engine, but it's actually a mecha game with the main character called double blow job.

Nothing makes sense anymore.
I don't think the mechs are the main enemies, just one of those big boy enemies that you'll see on the box cover. Like Big Daddies...except they're Nazi robots. Which I'm perfectly cool with.
