Interesting. I loved Return to Castle Wolfenstein back in the day (and still do), and even though Wolfenstein pretty forgettable, this looks... I don't know. I like the alternate history angle, but the actual gameplay was cut too fast. Not super-impressed, but intrigued. Will be keeping an eye on this.

As many already said, it could br envolve somehow time traveling, but I will differ and I will say Alternative Reality Scenario.

We already saw in the previous games that different kind of dimensions exist, so why not a dimension like our?

The new Wolfenstein is going to be a bit of a bummer for me no matter what. I played Wolf3D as a kid and it was fun and all but not that special and pure nostalgia only goes so far. Return to Castle Wolfenstein was my favorite game ever (and would still be if more people played) but only because of the multiplayer. I think at best I finished half of the single player campaign. My excitement over a new Wolfenstein (to hopefully counteract the awful one released in 2009) was quickly tempered by a lack of multiplayer.

This new trailer doesn't make it look any more appealing.

Unless the Nazi were given a nuke via time travel, there is no way they could of "gotten the bomb" first.

The Nazi military science divisions were competing with each other (even going out of their way to ruin the efforts of each other), fighting over a limited amount of funds. Some of them knew their machines could never work (such as a near orbital bomber that would of had the flying characteristics of a brick in the real world) yet continued to suck up money and resources anyway because they wanted the money/they feared the punishment of failure/they were Allied spies/some combination.

Also, they were not allowed to use any "Jew Science," including Albert Einstein. You kind of need General Relativity to make The Bomb.

So, yeah, time travel is involved.

Edit: Color me actually excited for an FPS! Oh, (pseudo)WW2, I've missed you so much.
Seriously. This is the first FPS I've been actually excited about for quite some time. It's a bizarre, alien sensation that I'd almost forgotten.

Even though this is an action america ftw game, I hope they show the darkness of war, in a place where almost no WW2 game designer has gone, into the nazi concetration camps. If executed correctly a scene with that could envoke some real emotion (as well as press attention, but hopefully the game industry will ignore that)

pfff no! It was Nazi unicorn magic. Everyone knows that.

On a (semi)serious note, didn't BJ blow Hitler away in Wolfenstein 3D? Which would mean new management that has a little more foresight then the old one, maybe?

Yes, but footage of Hitler was clearly shown. Maybe it is a clone or something, but I don't think continuity is Wolfenstein's strong point.

I like the idea(it all has a very C&C: Red Alert feel to it) but the Abbey Road bit made it about 20% less threatening.

Also, did anyone else immediately think of the intro sequence to Watchmen? All they would need to do is dub Bob Dylan over.

I love re-imaginings of history, the "what ifs", so this gets me excited. Plus it actually looks like a solid FPS. Not too sure about the mechs though, but atleast they add variety to the enemy.

For most of this trailer, I agree with most of the people here that it was pretty silly, but am I the only one who actually started laughing out loud at the astronaut giving the nazi salute?

Other than that, this could be interesting.

Dear me. I don't know why, but... That trailer just clicked with me. I actually want to fight these lads, for a change.

No Pasarán! (etc.)

No, it's not particularly serious or deep, but I do like the campy charm of it.

Pretty sure they confirmed that in an interview somewhere.

OT: My alternahistory bone has been tickled and they may consider my interest piqued. Particularly as it looks to play a bit heavier than the floaty crap we get fed these days in the shooter market.
