Wolverine Co-Stars In New Film With Rock-'Em Sock-'Em Robots

Wait is there a story? Because all the trailer showed was "In the future there is robot boxing?" This is one of the worst trailers I've ever seen even if it is just a teaser. Even Transformers had some conflict; Evil bots try to destroy world, good bots try to save world. But this...this is just nothing. Could it be? A big budget blockbuster that is actually worse than Transformers?
The short story and Twilight Zone versions were really good; not to spoil a 50-year-old show, it had an ending that seemed both surprising and inevitable. Dunno about the current one, though, as the trailer makes it looks a little too "sexed-up" to have the same impact.
I'll await the reviews before passing judgement on it, but I can't say I'm too eager to see it as it stands.

This seems like an appealingly cheesy and absurd movie, and 'OUR MAIN EVENT TONIGHT... FEATURES PAIN' is so ridiculously hammy that it might become my new catchphrase.
the premise actually looks interesting, if not hilarious. I would go see it, just to call it rock em' sock em' robots.
Wtf is up with all this "X never changes." on things that do, in fact, change.
Crowds change; sure, gambling has been a constant for a while, but the number of people attending a given sport or event changes quite often over time, along with the varying aesthetic, ethical, and philosophical changes people go through (compare the crowd in a classical concert to the crowd in a gladiator battle.).
And don't even get me started on Fallout or how drastically war has changed and will continue to change. Sure it sounds cooler than "War changes radically.", but that doesn't mean you have to blatantly lie with your slogan. There are true statements that sound cool.

The premise and robot design are both lame, but if Hugh Jackman can pull off a total badass and the fight scenes are well done, I'm sure it'll be worth a look.

OT, Just for kicks I booted it up (originally intended to run on a 486 {66Mhz cpu} now on a a quad core 3Ghz cpu) the battle was over in about 3 1/2 seconds.
I hope this movie features Robot Rocky vs Robot Ivan Drago.
I've actually been looking forward to this movie. I knew right off the bat that is was probably going to be a B Class affair but I still maintained high hopes for it. It has robots and Hugh Jackman (which is probably the closest he'll come to bald unfotunately). I still have high hopes. It looks sweet.
