"My name is ark, i Dj here and co-own the place." he looked at sunny "I won't argue you, its your body and i won't force anything upon you. but since you can't hear the music let me let you feel it." the bass was pumped up about 3 notches, just enough to felt in you chest but not uncomfortable.

"I won't bother you with the long version but i'll explain myself. My entire village was murdered when i was younger, the high mages of the village gave their lives protecting me and i escaped, made a deal with a succubus out of rage: my soul and part of my body for power. Here i am today, perfectly fine and happy with her at my back. it also is why i have these black eyes." Ark explained gesturing to his eyes.

"I don't see myself as being misfortune. I met her and my life has been fine since. i step in where necessary like when that priest was about to have his head considerably softer and mushier. My life is decent, i dj here and don't get bothered much otherwise." Ark said, a red pentagram flashed in his eyes for a brief second.

"Enough about my boring life, tell me about yourselves please. also, everything is on the house for you two."

"We don't only serve drinks, if you want any food just let me know. The club is accessible through any door in the city so finding what you'd like won't be a problem. By an chance are either of you a mage?"

"Neither do i. i use dark and shadow magic. at the moment i'm using shadow to stay on the wall and control the lights in the club. They're always on but the shadows block them out. Its better than any system that money can buy because its using my sub conscience. Dark magic is an interesting little thing. sometimes its give and take others its something inexplicable. if you would've let me fix your hearing for the night, i would have lost hearing in one ear but you would've gained hearing in one ear. I truly wish i could explain it better." Ark said, still on the wall.

Dressed in night club attire, sharp black clothing with red shades, Ezekiel stepped out of the crowd and sat down next to Sunny taking a quick moment to glance around. the DJ is here he thought as he looked around the bar, and the target is up there He remembered seeing the ageing Fallen man up in a private box on the second floor. Ezekiel didn?t look too out of place here, he had made sure his unusual wings were bound and under his clothing. He listened to The DJ tell his story. The barkeep came up and Ezekiel ordered himself something mild and bought something heavier that he bought for the DJ. It would be better if he wasn?t too alert tonight. As the barkeep slid the drink to Ark Ezekiel gave him a nonchalant look, indicating that he had bought him the drink.

"I had just come out of training. Nothing had happened for a year, and then out of nowhere it was just the little things that started happening like a little blood on the chicken coops or tracks in the snow. We should have looked closer at those signs, because the first night was a nightmare... Wolven attacked our village, a single pack with no more then 30 Wolven, and yet they managed to kill more then twenty of us in the first night. The warriors in my village weren't prepared, so we took up better defense the second day and we thought we were ready for their assault. We were so wrong. Ice shards rained down on us from above and lightning struck us down, even with mages trying to cast their own spells to defend us it was useless. The Wolven's magic was unlike anything our mages had had to deal with before and it was a massacre for nearly two weeks." Kayne said, looking down into the fire lost in his own memories.

"That was when I decided that I needed to do something. Our mages were old, and their apprentices took too long to cast their own spells to be of much help when the Wolven came. I went to the eldest mage, and begged him to teach me the ways of magic. He ignored my pleas and sent me away to the front lines again. That night a Wolven slipped past us while we were holding back the Alpha and his strongest Wolven, and the Wolven who had slipped into the village tore the throat out of the wizards daughter. The Alpha and the others were driven back, and I was determined to learn magic so I set out for the mage's again not knowing what had happened the night before. When I arrived the Mage was in a state of rage I had never seen him in before, and he grabbed me by the shoulders and asked me, 'you wish to know magic yes? I will teach you if you swear to me that you'll make everyone of those bastards pay for my daughters death!' I agreed and we began training immediately. It was hard rigorous training at it took me a month to learn before the tutor said I was ready. I swept down over the Wolven and unleashed flames that they had never seen before, burning the bodies and blackening their bones. When there were only a few individuals left I returned to the village to learn that over three quarters of our village had been killed, including my family. I was outraged and I took to the sky, seeking out the remaining Wolven."

"Well... I found them, and I was no match for them alone and weakened from using magic constantly without rest. I was torn open and left to die, and I would have if the Fallen King's soldiers hadn't been patrolling that way. The brought me back to the Fallen capital city, and my wounds were treated by their doctors. When I came to I immediately enlisted myself in the Fallen's military and I've been there ever since, coming out to hunt these Wolven when I get a chance. After tonight, there are only two Wolven left and they are always together. It's the Alpha and is second, but I've no idea where they could be so I suppose its back to the capital after tonight." Kayne said, finally breaking his gaze away from the flames to look at Sev.

It felt good to let that story off his shoulders, and every time he told it it felt like a heavy burden was being removed from his chest. Kayne let out a genuine smile, rare for him, but a good sight all the same.

"it would just be for tonight. if you'd like i could probably alter your hearing to only listen to the music, nothing else, because it pains me to think you can't hear this wonderful sound." Ark heard a tone in the music which he recognized as the mark.

"If you two need anything let me know, i've got to go DJ now." Ark faded into the wall and appeared at the DJ booth. all the lights in the club went dark. "DJ Ark is here people!" he shouted and the crowd went nuts. "The people, you people! You are what I live for!" Ark shouted to the crowd. He brought the lights back up and saw the entire crowd. the music started a build up, slow but gentle.

"I live for the music and to Entertain you people!" He spread his wings and two miniature shadow dragons flew over the crowd as the music dropped.

"Dance my friends! The night is young and the music is loud!"

 

[figment of mind]

Hume and Quake raced through the forest, headed to the sound of their injured pack member. They soon came across the others tracks and followed them up, figuring that the injured would be around there. Their fears were realized soon enough, they could tell that it was the pup who had been injured. The alpha was designating who was to do what and in general trying to get the pup back to saftey, right now concerned with getting the pup on another members back.

"Mince, help with the pup. The both of you make sure he doesn't fall off."

"Sir,", Quake started in, "What happened?"

"Quake, Hume, where have you two been...never mind. The pup ignored my orders and tried to catch a deer himself. He rushed it though, tried to catch the deer from behind..."

"Ow." Hume said, knowing how bad that must have hurt. Taking a hoof to the face was generally a bad thing to happen to you.

"Indeed. We're calling off the hunt, besides, we're in unfriendly territory anyways. Best to leave before the other pack learns that we were here and hope that sending deer into their territory would be good enough..."

Hume noticed that as the alpha said it, he didn't sound confident in that.There would be repurcussions for this, they would be sure of that.

"Sir,", Hume started, hoping to at least bring some good news on the subject, "Me and Quake were able to take down a deer. It's a bit aways back, in our territory, so if i am not needed here, would you permit me to retrive it?"

"We've got the situation under control here, all we need to do is take him back to Dios and hope to the gods that he can help the pup. Take Quake with you, and if you see another deer on the ways, don't worry about it. We'll send others for that one soon after we get back to the pack."

Hume nodded before both parties separated, Hume and Quake retriving the fresh kill and the rest following the pup, ready in case the other pack decided to attack.

Ezekiel spared a brief glance as Ark didn?t take the drink. Sunny said something to him, but he ignored it figuring that she would do the same. He thought over the plan as he drank down his own drink. Okay, so I bind the pathogen to the alcohol entering my system. The target drinks like a devil so if I insert the concoction into his drink this stage will be complete. Now to just to get his hands on the targets drink. Ezekiel saw a pretty Fallen woman hand the target his drink. Mabye I can use that.

The song hit a slow part and the entire club seemed to go into slow motion, all the people moving in beat to the song. only Ark was staying in normal time. his music effected all that could hear it. sunny was the only person who stayed in continuous with Ark as far as time goes. He sank out of the dj booth and back to her table.

"You see why i wanted you to listen to it now?" he said and tossed a coin into the air, it took twice as long to fall as it normally would. "As my music plays it slows them down to let their brains process and understand the music in its entirety. one of the things dark magic can do. yet because their brains understand it they can leave all their fears behind for the moment, it makes them happy." and he caught the coin. "if you want to hear just the music, let me know." and Ark reappeared at the DJ booth

Severin looked off into the distance, the cry of an injured Wolven rang out through the quiet night sky. He prodded his partner.

"Oi, small, angry, and bloodthirsty," Kayne woke up groggily, "Wolven off, some clicks that-a-way," Severin stood up, adjusting his automail arm. Kayne immediately jumped up and grabbed his scythe, seething in rage.

"Calm down there, they're some distance, off, and we've got the cover of night, but still, let's move," Severin smelled the air, "I crave a kill"

With that, the two made their way to the unsuspecting Wolven.

When they drew close, Kayne motioned for Sev to take to the air so that they would be harder to smell if the wind wasn't in their favor. Kayne unfolded his wings and flew up to a nearby branch, landing silently and jumping from tree branch to tree branch with ease. His scythe was gripped tightly in his hands, hoping that these Wolven were the ones that had escaped earlier. He would finish them off and retire because he feared he was losing strength fast even with his wound having been closed up.

Sev motioned for Kayne to maintain his position, information was key in a successful ambush.

It was a pack, moving, the smell of a kill on them. One of the young ones was injured, probably trying to bite off more than it could chew. The alpha was with them, excellent, Severin always thought Wolven Alpha meat was choice.

He made another sign to Kayne, attack. The two swooped down, catching the moving pack by surprise.

Kayne would have waited, but Sev charged on and Kayne followed. He was more accustomed to the silent killer way of life he had adopted since his villages death, but he wasn't opposed to a head on assault. Kayne wanted to make sure that these were Wolven from the same family as the ones who had killed his village, so Kayne aimed straight for the Alpha.

"Sev, find out who they are and why they are so close here before harming them too severely." Kayne called out to his fellow Fallen, not sure if he had heard.

 

[The Thinker]

Peter saw the DJ, the Fallen they called "Ark", talking to a small person wearing leather, and excused himself from the delightful group teaching him how to dance. He wanted to talk to Ark, and to thank him for fixing the road. However, as he walked over, Ark disappeared to go back to the DJ box. Peter continued his walk to the bar, mentally shrugging. Ark would come back. Peter could wait. As the music picked up, Peter sat on the side of the white-haired person that wasn't occupied, and tapped her on the shoulder.

"Excuse me," he said, "Were you talking to a Fallen, named Ark?"

Frank looked off into the distance, the cry of an injured Wolven rang out through the quiet night sky.

Who is Frank? Sorry if I missed something.

Arks DJ run had finished. he appeared in the box checking up on the VIP, then returned to Sunny.

Ark saw that the priest had joined her. he slid out of the wall onto a seat. "Hello again." he looked at the priest "What'd you think? was saving that for sometime special."

He looked at sunny "Sorry if i was rude, but i did offer you help. i can't blame you for not wanting magic being involved, dark magic at that. It was scary when i first had it because i was young and didn't know a damn thing about it, but she helped me with it."

"No you didn't, i always was different from other fallen, personality wise. more caring of others feelings. i think it might be the fact that i have a demon of desire and lust taking the violent edge off me, but it doesn't matter. I am the way i am, another reason i didn't head to another village was they were always violent which i didn't like."

"You don't seem to warm up to other fallen easily, your sister being an exception. But if you're wondering why i haven't asked about your sister being a different species than you, its because i frankly don't care about the difference. You and your sister care about each other, that's about all that matters."
