Something tells me this will be an unpopular opinion, but here goes:
Fast & Furious Movies never really required god-like acting ability to be an enjoyable movie, and considering I've watched a few of them, the acting in those movies are "meh", but they do what's needed, and her roles in the series, I didn't really care for her (Call me a monster/sexist if you wish, but I just didn't care. Those movies are hot cars, hot girls, hot action, and I can dig that). Date Night.... Moving on. Knight & Day I can give some leaveway for on her acting skills, but other than that, she hasn't had much time in movie spotlight, and now they're giving her Wonder Woman... And my faith in humanity for the hope that people leave comic lore, continuity, and common sense in tact has been destroyed once more (And no, I do not mean for the fact that she is Israeli, I actually find that nice that they would go there, but here's my reasons I'm facepalming this decision)
1. As I've said above, those movies aren't the best show of acting ability, considering the high-octane that F&F movies do (And considering that the series is now enjoyable by even the most hated of haters after Fast 6) and despite her other appearances in cinema & television (Some I didn't know, some I didn't care) I still say there were other people that could've became Wonder Woman in a more acceptable fashion (And better, well known and respected, acting ability)
2. Her Body Type. Yes, she's a model, I understand that, but that would mean that the people signing her on should've known that Amazonians aren't known for dolling up and looking pretty like mall girls, but that would assume they know DC Lore and Respect That Lore. She's too skinny in the pictures I saw, and yeah, she could give out some more muscle tone over the course of the movie, but here's the thing though: Wonder Woman has an adequate breast size & isn't the skinniest of the DC Heroines. Hell, her weight class is moderate (Depending on which DC Era/Series you use) and I KNOW Gal won't gain weight for this movie, because that could impact her career as a model, and most models would rather have their modeling career in tact than gain a few pounds for one movie, or a series of movies. And let's add the fact that her breasts aren't the right size for this character. That would be nitpicking, but yeah, if you're gonna be Wonder Woman, you need the right breast size or at least wear something that won't fly out or be out of place in the middle of a fight scene or normal scene (Which I know doesn't exist right now, since there are quite a few perverted people that can spot fake breasts a mile away.)
3. What Magical Quality does she have to make her perfect for this movie? I'll need people to help me find her acting prowess, I don't believe her body is good enough to give proper justice to Wonder Woman, and quite frankly, her face is her best quality at this point. I just don't see it.
As for who WOULD do good as Wonder Woman, I honestly don't know. Gina Carano apparently can't act (Like that hasn't stopped anyone from doing iconic roles *wink wink*.) The woman who played Mother Russia in Kick-Ass 2... Not sure, don't know how good she can act and how she could transform into that role. Beth Phoenix from WWE? XD Moving on... I just don't know who would do good as Wonder Woman, but I know there has to be someone else who can do WAY better than Gal. Maybe some new talent? But then again, new talent doesn't fill movie theater seats. Maybe send Gina Carano on a journey to hone her acting ability to the point to where she could give Academy Award Winners a run for their money?
But yeah. There's always a hard choice for making roles for certain characters, but making Gal Gadot Wonder Woman is a poor choice to me, and that is why.
I'll be glad to respond to anyone who thinks I'm wrong and have a reason for it. I do love a good debate.
