So I was writing a Q&A for my health class, and the word "fetus" is an unknown word, even though it knows Jedi from jedi. At least in to Word 07.

What are some of the weirder words spellchecker has recognized, or given as an example for a replacement word? What are some of the most common words that it hasn't recognized?

Also, on a side note, what are some of the weirder phrases you have had to enter in the bot-checkers? I'm getting "hunky dory" right now.

I find it amusing that my spellchecker accepts "Mulder", but underlines "Scully". I'll just add it to the dictionary myself...

This is because there are thousands of words in the English language it would be absurd to have all of them. and besides we want spell checker to be fast and give us options to change the word easily, if it did have all those words it would take forever to processes. (im guessing, only basic knowledge in programing)
