"At the end of the day" and "brings to the table" got old for me really quick.

Halo is not 'generic' or even 'safe' for that matter. Its one of the few shooters in the market that upon each new game, changes the design and how it flows making it it's own style of shooter. Even then, when people complain about dark gritty greyish shit. They completely ignore the fact that Halo is one of the most colorful shooters around. Tired of iron sights and regenerating health? Halo doesn't have that. I have a friend who uses this for basically everything, games and in real life.
I understand it's good manners in StarCraft (and he is a huge StarCraft player) but I just interpret it is an insult in basically every other game that doesn't have it as part of its meta lexicon just because it feels so condescending.
Especially in real life, saying gg in real life is like saying "LOL" in real life, it's meaningless in vocal form. Show your opponent some actual respect by vocalising a proper sentence or actually laugh at a joke, you socially maladjusted twats.

I really don't like "girl gamer." The word gamer doesn't bother me so much, but having to qualify it bothers me. I play games, just like the rest of you. Why does it matter that I'm a girl.

Whenever anybody infers that any body is a "loser/virgin" who "lives in their parents' basement". ESPECIALLY when some popular culture figure or character says it. It just shows a total ignorance towards how large the video game industry is.

Gimmick, as in "(insert innovation here) is just a stupid gimmick."
It's a simple, degrading label you can slap on any creative attempt to enhance/expand gaming, which requires no further coherent explanation from the user. A terrific way to dismiss an idea without actually taking time to consider it, sometimes at your own peril.

"Pwn" - It's not a real word, that's all I'm going to say
"noob" - It just sounds dumb. Besides gamers just throw it around like it's some kind of big insult to be called that.
"epic" - I do not think this word means what gamers think it means.

It really irritates me when people spell out acronyms when they are speaking. I have a friend that I play DOTA 2 with occasionally, and he insists on saying "Dee Oh Tee Ay" in person. Same with League of Legends. He says "El Oh El." And yes, he even did it with the "S.T.A.L.K.E.R" series,the one time we talked about it. I don't bring it up when people do it, but it just bothers me for some reason.
