Whenever anybody infers that any body is a "loser/virgin" who "lives in their parents' basement". ESPECIALLY when some popular culture figure or character says it. It just shows a total ignorance towards how large the video game industry is.

Not a word, but a sound. The sound of still-pudgy faces, voice cracks, violent yet idle threats, confused and horrified sexual discovery, and changes to the human body.

No words make me cringe other than "racist", "homo", or any form of bigotry, but the sound of a preteen or elementary school kid screaming in my ear while I'm trying to play Halo: Reach or Call of Duty bugs the ever loving hell out of me. I loved Max Payne 3, but I refuse to play it online because I don't want to hear those squeaky voices that make me wish the gaming community would prune itself and parents would learn quickly.

Wait! Maybe the ESRB needs a new rating system!

You just completely obliterated me, that was definitely NOT a good game! My paranoid brain is pretty sure people just use it as an insult most of the time.

I can honestly say I've never used it like that. It's just nice to show some sportsmanship for once. It's just a game. Footballers help the other team get up when they tackle them to the ground. Same thing.

And although its really offensive and nasty I always find it fun when people say "you're a ******."

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet but the first that came to mind for me was "hardscope". For those that don't know that's what some people like to call it when you actually use the scope on a sniper rifle instead of quickscoping. It makes no sense though and it just bothers the hell out of me any time I see it come up in conversation.

While I hate all of these, entitled irritates me most. It, like fanboy, is usually just away of dismissing any legitimate arguments but, unlike "fanboy", is almost exclusively about consumer rights. God knows why these people can stand to be dicked over by large companies.

- I play CoD (Black Ops) and when I win (I play free for all and have a 2.21 kill/death ratio) I am called a tryhard versus the asshat spinning around (trying to) shoot[ing] me with a sniper rifle.

I don't use "cheap" (another word I hate) guns either, you won't see me use the famas in Black Ops, I use various different guns depending on the map. FOR EXAMPLE I always use the Mac11 extended mags (scavenger, sleight of hand, ninja) on the map Nuketown.

"ur"
- I know it's an abbreviation but when using it people could at least use it properly, "ur" is an abbreviation of "you're" not "your".

- After seeing this in a chat box on whatever online game (I see it on Minecraft a lot) I am far more inclined to deny the person of whatever is they're requesting because they use those stupid, repulsive, abbreviations.

- bringing up CoD again, I'm given this title over and over again . I win the game by a certain difference, between myself and the player in second, and I just get this label slapped right on me. Camping, to me, is when you sit in a corner sights trained on a doorway with a proximity device covering any other methods of entrance; although I like it more it, just pissed me off how stupid it is, when people aim at the same spot they placed their proximity explosive device at, covering it as if they don't want it to explode (#morons)

It really irritates me when people spell out acronyms when they are speaking. I have a friend that I play DOTA 2 with occasionally, and he insists on saying "Dee Oh Tee Ay" in person. Same with League of Legends. He says "El Oh El." And yes, he even did it with the "S.T.A.L.K.E.R" series,the one time we talked about it. I don't bring it up when people do it, but it just bothers me for some reason.

Pronouncing acronyms phonetically.

As in saying Mummorpuger, or saying Roffle, Gitfoe, Stiffoo or similar. Saying "lol" isn't too bad, but that's because I've become accustomed to it.

Kind of the opposite of this, but also I agree with this at the same time. Depends on the acronym.

That's interesting, now that you've brought it up, it only bothers me when it's acronyms which are short for things which I would choose to say in conversation.

For example I say Doetah when I walk about DotA. Or Addfa when talking about the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) but I just say "Shut the fuck up" in actual conversations.
