Work and Gaming laptops suggestions

I'm currently laptop shopping as my current five year old thing is literally falling apart.

I was hoping the combined knowledge of the escapist community could offer some suggestions for around £400

I'm not hoping to play the massive spec games (skyrim,crysis) but for games from at least 2009

High performance laptop for 400 pounds... That`s　going to be a tough find. With that sort of budget, getting a desktop might be a better option...
