I've recently rolled into the office after a particularly good Christmas party. I've only been to two now (last year's was a different company and also rubbish) but this year's was fantastic.

A few shenanigans (kissing the hot but married director of finance under the mistletoe being the worst/best!) aside it was a great time.

I was actually dreading it but was happily surprised. About 6 people from the office formed a band and played a couple of classics which was awesome.

How about you guys? Any good or awful work parties? Dislike the concept?

At my workplace (Blockbuster.. (it's only a sidejob) we get money to have a christmas party... However, we can't have in the period november-february, because it's holiday season, and nobody can cover for anybody if all are having christmas lunches. Last time, we had ours in mid june..

We had one at one time, I think it was october two years ago, which was pretty awesome. I had just moved into my flat, and spent the first night there with one of my co-workers. Pretty good way to get comfortable in your new flat :D

Oh god, can't work out if I'm still drunk or just very hungover. One of the accounts girls crawled home at 6:30 in the morning and threw up over herself in the shower ([a href="http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/NightmareFuel"]nightmare fuel[/a]).

Office Christmas parties are a great opportunity to take incriminating photos of your co-workers. Seriously, it's like a free promotion!

Mines coming up on the 19th.

There is a whole load of complication with mine, and i'm not actually sure it's worth it.

The one the year before the company went to a huge house out in the sticks, luxury hotel basically. Then our company does what it does best, cause a small riot and create a bunch of sexual tension for 6 weeks, and lots of rumours.
Your place sounds like our place.
