A vaccine is different from a cure.

OT: They should wait until they at least understand all the side effects before administering anything to the public, regardless of how promising it may be.

They have done what was previously not possibly. They have created a vaccine to help prevent the HIV spreading. Yes, it is not perfect. But very few vaccinations are 100 percent effective.

It is a step in the right direction. It is evidence that the HIV virus can be prevented through vaccination. This is progress that can be built upon, not something to be criticised in the early stages because of a low sucess rate

I agree with you 100% Very few vaccines are created innitialy with a high chance of working... most are done by slowly piecing together key elements to obtain an improved vaccine... think of it as upgrading an old vaccine slowly.
