Yes tommorrow I am going to the town library to see if the have a copy of Call of Cthulhu as it seems pretty interesting (and obviously a big thing on the internet). But if I do get a copy and do enjoy the book, what other works by Lovecraft (I believe that is the author) would you recomend?

Can't find my old thread... Regardless, look into this book: http://www.borders.com/online/store/TitleDetail?sku=0575081570

It has Call of Cthulhu and the majority of Lovecraft's major works.

Edit: Hey, I found it. http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.158324#comment_form

I thought Call of Cthulhu was a game? Maybe it's based on a book though, I wouldn't really know.

The whole works of love craft are here on the internet. Though a book is easier to cary around then a computer.

As you can see by my name, I'm basically a fanboy of Lovecraft.

If you like it, go out and buy an anthology. That'll hit the major ones. And will be worth the moolah.

Shadow Over Innsmouth was my favorite. But I agree with Ftaghn, check out an anthology.

I say find a copy of "The Necronomicon", the complete works of HP Lovecraft. I picked up a copy in sweet black faux paper leather binding and love it. It has all the stories in it.

Call of Cthulhu is actually a short story, not a book.

Get a collection of his stuff.
Edit:(although, I think there is a collection entitled "Call of Cthulhu" that they put together recently)

Buy and read the Dark Tower series. If you don't have time quit your job and read the books from your new cardboard box home, it's better than not having read them at all.

Exactly what I was going to propose. Much of the mythos explaining stories in there :)
also, "Reanimator"
