World at War rapid fire prevention

I don't have WaW but I've read that it has code in there that detects modded controllers and slows down their rate of fire. I've also read that it sometimes catches regular people with a fast trigger finger.

So, how bad is the problem? Does it regularly prevent good players with normal controllers from firing as quickly as they should be able to? I'm just curious because I heard that MW2 was going to have a similar feature.

As for your question: I haven't heard of this problem at all, so have no idea. I hope it isn't in Modern Warfare 2 for PC as I already get kicked from shooters by Punkbuster for being able to aim with a mouse to a decent standard.

Cut him some slack he wanted a question answered, Yeah it does have a feature like the one you described, if it catches you "shooting too fast" it slows it down in like the next round, thats with like s and d, it is quite annoying for me as I can shoot it preety damn quick but sometimes its not really tht noticable.

as to the original question...
I heard something along those lines also.
I suppose it stops cheaters, but also levels the playing field a bit.
gives people with thumbs for fingers a chance.
what I lack in trigger speed, I make up for in accuracy

I haven't really noticed. I go crazy with stuff like the Gewehr 43 and M1 Garand.

Although, it will be something I'll be looking out for.

Also, as you may have noticed, bump is punishable by testicles in a piranha bowl.

Yes, it's in there. Doesn't always seem to work though. Besides, if the game detects it, by, say, seeing the controller send in enough "right trigger pull"s to equate to 800RPM, then it limits their ability to fire, someone just needs to make a mod that makes it fire at 799RPM. And then it's still a cheating death cannon.
