World cup time.

I'm the least patriotic person in history. I like football but I don't like supporting England because I like to watch at a distance as the nations hopes get dashed and fat men cry on TV.
This year, I'm supporting Slovakia. I supported them at the Olympics Ice Hockey because I'm a Bruins fan and Zdeno Chara is awesome so rather than pick another country, I'll just stick with them.

Oh I hate this run up to the world cup. The TV is always full of crap claiming that this is England's year (again) and then someone will inevitably mention 1966.

Oh god, what's the advert? It shows like people at a Millwall match and then random scenes of kids looking hopeful and crossing their fingers. I think it's for Sky or something. Does my head right in.

I'll be supporting Australia and Greece. Australia because it's where I live and Greece because it's where my family came from.

I can foresee myself being very tired during the World Cup due to waking up at all odd hours of the morning to watch the matches.

I'm English, but I kinda feel that if they win it then people will never shut up about it.

I'd like to see Ivory Coast win it, they have an extremely difficult group...so it doesn't seem that likely.

Well, Wales didn't qualify...again. -_- Oh well, there's always next time, that's what I keep telling myself anyway.
I think it will be Spain vs Brazil in the final, Spain to win it 2-1. Though i'm really rooting for New Zealand, it's only thier second appearance in a finals tournament. Good luck to them.

Its funny in New Zealand no one really cared about soccer till about a year ago when we saw we might be able to make it to the world cup. When its all over i doubt we will care about it till the next time we qualify, hopefully it wont be another 28 years. Other then New Zealand i hope England do well and the French get struck by a comet.

Edit: Plus we just bet Serbia and made them riot.

I've always been a huge Argentina fan. I was pulling for Messi and Tevez last world cup when Messi was 18. I'll still be pulling for them.

And, to be a homer, I've gotta pull for the USA. Bring the hate.

No not after the game. During though, yes. It just shows how out of touch FIFA are when running games compared to other leagues, which use videos and cameras to review decisions.
