The name is a bit odd. While looking on Activision's press/legal site, I could not find "Activision Games Inc" as being a legal trademark for Activision. This makes me question the legitimacy of the demand. I would imagine that they would use Activision Blizzard, Activision Inc, or Activision Publishing Inc (because that's what Activision Inc is filed under) in a takedown filing.

Basically, this takedown notice is most probably fake.
Activision Games Inc. is one of the many subsidiaries of Activision Blizzard Inc.
Proof?

I can't find it listed as a registered trademark with them.

Oh come on, there were TONS of maps for Warcraft 3 called World of Starcraft/Diablo/Warcraft and Blizzard never complained about them, Now they're under Activision's influence and start bitching whenever someone creates anything similar to their games.

On a side note, I'm getting more and more annoyed by Youtube since they strated shutting down videos and removing sound from them. First they blocked worldwide one of my videos because it contained some music (not imediately, but months after I uploaded it) and now they delete trailers for games and movies or at least block them in some regions.

Actually now that I think about it, the youtube videos probably got canned to avoid misunderstandings.

People are dumb.

They'd look at the videos and think that Blizzard is literally making world of starcraft. Or there'd be these stubs floating around the internet forever and rampant rumor mongering by the uninformed.

If they didn't want the project to continue it's well within their ability to do just that.

It's not a trademark, but it is a registered business name. Many businesses don't use their full business name as a trademark because their full business name doesn't translate well into a trademark. The trademark "Coca-Cola" is owned by The Coca-Cola Company. The trademark "Wise" (the potato chip brand) is owned by Wise Foods, Inc.

John Funk thought I was crazy when I called this!
Maybe John Funk thinking that you're crazy doesn't have anything to do with any calls you've made. Just saying.
