Hey! I've noticed that people use this a lot to ask random things, so I figured I'd join in. If this is against the rules, a quick warning and I'll never do it again.
Anyhow, I have a school project about WWII in which I'm supposed to interview a person who survived the second world war. I wasn't able to, so I interviewed my grandmother, who's father was in it and she gave me a story that's vivid enough to keep in my mind.
The problem is that I'm turning what she told me into a short story, and while it worked incredibly well in a verbal format, a written format demands more detail. Well, if I'm to get a good grade it does.
Anyways, it's a story of the Normandy landings. If anyone's got any details, like a story from their parents/grandparents, some small thing that stuck with them, anything, it'd be much appreciated. I'm doing research and everything, but I'd like to add that extra bit of realism, and it'd be a learning experience, which school is all about.
Thank you, Escapees.
