Theres a sign for "canal lane" in my village where the "C" is scratched off on a regular basis XD. The best part if i usually only walk past it after a party, and after 6 beers or so that is hilarious EVERY time.

I think that happens to every Canal Street, Road, Lane or Avenue in the world. In my home town of Aberdeen, the Canal Street sign has the 'C' and the 'S' removed. The same thing happens in Manchester, where Canal Street is the centre of the gay district.

I used to live near a bunch of canals. Most of them had undertow warning signs. But the best one was the undertow warning posted in the middle of a dry ravine. I lived there for two years, and not once did that damn ravine even get a trickle through it. Must be one of those dry undertows...

"Warning: Zombies Ahead" on a road construction sign is probably the funniest I've seen, even if it was hacked.

I can't remember any off the top of my head that were unintentional and yet hilarious.

I once saw this billboard and all it said was "JESUS" I laughed so hard as the randomness! I thought for sure it would say "CHIST" on the back. But sadly it didn't. XDDDDD

There's a sign on a walkway above the croc enclosure at a sydney aquarium that says, "do not climb over railing, the fall may not kill you but the croc will" I love that sign.

Hah, I remember that news story! Apparently, the controls to the text on the board were guarded by a 4-character password, and the hacker bruteforced it like nothing.

The local council made a spelling error on a sign. It was supposed to say "Old Bullock Road" but said "Old Bollock Road". Unfortunately they took it down when they realised their mistake... I don't have a picture but there is no way I am google image searching "Old Bollock road"... You'll just have to take my word for it.
