Worst A.I you have seen in a game?

Mercenaries 2. The enemies just kind of stand their. Firing aimlessly. Good game though.

Sheva's AI in Resident Evil 5.

Completely and totally seconded. I tried to play that game on single player... absolutely no way I could do it. She was so... dumb! There was a section where we had to split up and I had to cover her or I could go up and she cover me... both choices were apparently wrong because when she went off, I could kill as many lickers as possible, but she wouldn't help and there were too many to keep them off myself and when I went up, she just straight up wouldn't shoot them and when she did, she seemed to think that picking away at lickers with the pistol long range was a better idea than using a sniper rifle that I gave her. Even Ashley or whoever from Resident Evil 4 was smart enough to stay away when the battle started going or at least I could tell her to go chill in a trash can while I took care of the baddies.

It certainly adds that extra element of holy shit to playing professional mode. Simply cuz you have try and save her every quarter second.

The AI in Mass Effect. At the end of the game, you have to fight quite a few rocket launching turrets. When this happened, I hit behind a wall and switched to pistol to get the shots off. Garrus Copied, switching to a sniper rifle as we both attacked from very far away. However... Tali... -_-

Garrus and I watched as tali stood in the open, doing nothing. Nothing, that is, except taking rockets to the face until she died. I even TOLD her to take cover, but she just stood there. -_- I'm really looking forward to improved AI in Mass Effect 2.

The AI in MGS games are definitely not stupid, but you'd definitely think it from some of the crazy antics some Japanese guys pull off.

Most recently it has got to be in MW2, level 'Loose Ends' near the very end Ghost runs up the crest of the ridge you have to run down and shots "Go Roach! I've got you covered!" EPIC FAIL. HE does not have you covered...EVER!

holy shit i had to replay this from the checkpoint easily 100 times, its bullshit when the AI says that in that game, i "trust them" for some odd reason then end up getting raped from baddies coming out of the walls why roach sits there going "ha sucker!"

i really wish they would just allow co op on the campaign...there is always someone with you anyways so why not get rid of the shitty AI for a nice mate to play with?
