Nicholas cage is a damn good actor who lends his talents to some truly awful films. watch him in leaving las vegas, face/off, con air and adaptation and you'll see that (hell, he gave one of the best performances of the 90's in leaving Las Vegas).
he does make some god awful movies, though.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Daniel Radcliffe yet, because he truly sucks humoungus amounts of goat-c*** acting-wise. While his counterparts in the Harry Potter movies, the guys playing Hermoine and Ron are rather good, Radcliffe just ruins it all.

The one who keeps saving those movies are Alan Rickman, by far one of the best actors out there.

Megan Fox is kinda pathetic. Shia LaBoeuf, the cast of Twilight, and the couple from Paranormal Activity aren't far behind.

Actually, the cast from Twilight aren't that bad. They are in Twilight but in New Moon, as I state in my review, [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.156750#3865996] the cast are pretty decent. Mainly down to the fact that Edward isn't present for a lot of it and Taylor Lautner (who plays the werewolf) is a good actor. However, I do agree that Robert Pattinson is a bad actor. He's been half decent in some things but in the Twilight films he speaks in a monotone and just doesn't even bother to act. He's pretty crap there.

Ahem.

Anyway, other bad actors in my opinion are definitely Paris Hilton and Shia LaBoeuf (ninja'd sadly by the first two posters), and I'm not too keen on Hayden Christenson either to be honest...

Pretty much every actor you could name has been good in at least ONE movie. (Ever seen Hayden in "Shattered Glass"?) Oh wait - except for Paris.

Once again I will be "Twilight"'s staunchest defender on these forums. Once again may I point out that this is the most underrated and misunderstood movie of recent times?

No it isn't. It is total shit and deserves all the bile thrown at it.

you do realize that, Eragon is probly his worst movie by far. he's a brilliant actor who's been in some amazing movies and he's got a sense of humour about it, i mean he was the star of Being John Malkovic which was too awesome to explain

That was actually my point. I'm not going to judge an actor solely by the fact that he had a slow few months and wound up in a turd like Eragon. But there is no functional difference between his performance in said turd and any other movie he's been in, imho. Yet 'Star Wars with dragons' is the one he gets ridiculed for the most.

And good on him for having a sense of humor about himself. But William Shatner has that too, and it doesn't make him a fantastic actor. The only variable is how much scenery he's given to chew up.
