Shuffle! I mean, I'm not sure what I was expecting from and anime based off a hentai game, but still.
Other than that, I'd say Fruits Basket. At first I thought of choosing Air Gear, but at least I laughed a lot at that shows ridiculousness. Fruits Basket was simply a bad show.

To Love-Ru. The amount of character development in that show was equal to the number of Jewish attendees at the most recent Neo-Nazi convention. That combined with weak predictable distractions via fan-service (which was always blocked, not that I'm complaining about being spared from viewing the atrocious animation), I would like to declare it the worst thing ever to scar my brain.
On a lesser note, I watched this thing called The Melody of Oblivion. Thought it had potential, then I was quickly proved wrong. Don't bother with it.
On an even lesser note was Solty Rei. Also fooled into thinking it had potential, lesson learned. It wasn't outright terrible, but it wasn't good.

LAIN, Madlax, She: The Ultimate Weapon and Gantz. All animes that made me want to shoot myself in the face over and over while watching them.
Most anime qualify. I was once given a treasure box (a hard drive) full of anime of all sorts, I guess all it left me is just my love for mecha, and nothing else. Especially all if not most human character in any anime.
I guess I just hate it that most anime just dont go straight to the point.
Otherwise worth mentioning would be : Fooly Cooly (dont even understand the crap out of it), as much as I love mecha I do hate SEED series with a passion, especially DESTINY, also every anime with episodes more than 30 (sequels do not count, and dragon ball is an exception) yes I'm looking at you : Naruto, Bleach, One Piece.

Basically if it doesn't feature giant robots, count me out. Oh and I dont like super robots as much. With some exceptions (Damn you SRW series) but I probably only like the mecha, no interest in story whatsoever.

Naruto. Being totally honest and not trolling. Awesome concept, terrible follow through. It also suffered heavily from the DBZ milking every second and then leaving you on a cliffhanger that then the next episode still doesn't finish.
On that note I have indeed seen Shippuden. It takes FOREVER for anything important to happen. 10 episodes in and I was thinking that everything that has occurred, could have occurred in the first three episodes. I just think that if I was waiting for an episode to come out every week I would get fed up with it by then. I mean it is like waiting in line at an amusement park for a really big roller coaster, only to find out that you need to go on these other rides first in a row to get to the really exciting one. And between rides, there are really long lines as well.
Next think I have a problem with is the filler episodes. Now just bearing in mind that I am talking about Naruto and not Shippuden, those are what really ruined the series for me. Those fillers are so bad that it makes every other filler episode ever from anything like the works of Shakespeare.
I would continue but I have not the stamina to proceed in this rant.

You might wanna give One Piece another try. I'm up-to-date on all the manga chapters, so I know that about halfway in it gets kinda boring... but once (SEMI-SPOILERS) the time skip happens, it gets REALLY interesting.PureChaos said:

Other than that, no. I have this weird thing where I'll go like... a year fascinated with Anime like Bleach or One Piece, then a year in love with mecha anime, etc. I've hardly ever come across an "awful" anime.
That being said, most of the time the Anime is worse than the manga in that they take liberties with filler arcs and throw in shit that doesn't matter. To those that said Bleach or Naruto, try reading the manga. The're much faster-paced and have a hell of a lot less filler.
the worst anime ever is Oh My Goddess. It makes Naurto look like high art. it makes salor moon look like shakespeare. Its the biggest piece of shit i have ever had the misfortune of veiwing.

I've said this already, but if you like reading I suggest you try the anime. The chapters have a much faster pace, and any filler (there is very little) is actually pertinent to the story. Most of the time the Anime takes liberties with filler arcs and throe in shit like the Land of Snow arc.draken693 said:

Anything that had ever been touched by 4Kids. Seriously they can take any anime and turn it into total shit. No other company that I know of can butcher an Anime like 4Kids. Except maybe for the guys who originally dubbed Dragonball Z, but even they allowed people to punch eachother.
Specifically and non 4Kids related... hmmmm... I'll have to go with Evangellion. Just because the show itself was more angsty then Cloud Squall and Lightning fuzed togther, and the ending made no sense. After that, the third anime of Tenchi Muyo. Horrible animation and stupid plot all around.
