I haven't read the whole manga, but you know Kazuki? Yeah, he's (and it is a he) is not someone to mess with. He doesn't kill. He just makes you wish he would.ChromeAlchemist said:Page 2, and I couldn't agree more with you. My rant was said already on that page, but what the hell were they thinking?thebobmaster said:I've stopped reading at the fourth page, since I got sick of seeing half the posts just saying "lolNarutosucks", so I have no idea if this has been mentioned more than once, but my vote goes to The Getbackers. Awesome manga, horrid anime.
Also do people die in the manga? Because they take so much care not to kill anyone in the anime it's a joke.
Ah thank you. I've always been terrible at remembering names. Let alone japanese ones.Vlane said:That guy you think of is Kokujoe.EgoDeusEst said:Although I agree with you on about 99% of those shows, one did stick out. Duel Masters I think. Besides just being the same old show about skinny kids with strange hairdos playing card games with as much respect as though they were martial arts, it did have an odd sense of humor. One time some guy with long black hair (whose name eludes me) says "I am the shadow, I am the night, I am bat- err I mean the dark card master".Gormourn said:And all the card-game / summonable monster ones.
Even the entire anime was shaping up to be something awesome, then they just made EVERYTHING up to that point redundant with the ending. They walked up to the door, talked shit, then left. I nearly threw my monitor out the window.thebobmaster said:I haven't read the whole manga, but you know Kazuki? Yeah, he's (and it is a he) is not someone to mess with. He doesn't kill. I did some research. Not sure how much more the manga covered, but there are 49 episodes of the anime and 39 volumes of the manga, so I'm pretty sure the manga has a bit more to it. And it does seem to have more backstory to each character.ChromeAlchemist said:Even the entire anime was shaping up to be something awesome, then they just made EVERYTHING up to that point redundant with the ending. Not to mention they hinted that everyone had an interesting past history, and felt no need to delve into that. I understand how these anime series work, if not enough people are watching, they get pulled from television.
But seriously now at least do some research and see if it is worth doing in the first place, I mean the only things worse than GetBackers anime would be Gantz and Tenjho Tenge anime, or 'a pointless delve into a portion of a story' and '24 episode flashback'.
well I like it. its just that the plot takes FOREVER to get moving they stand around for most of the episode discussing things that we figured out like 20 minutes before. THAT is what I hate about naruto.Jonny The Kay said:I gotta go with the extremely overrated Naruto.
It feels like a whole bunch of badly developed characters not acting like ninjas. The action is crappy the story is crappy and the animation is OK at best.
Edit: By the way count the "best" version of the anime you select. Crappy Dub Job does not constitute an anime being bad.
Name 10 other anime that are the same as each other please. The Great JT said:I'm one of those people who really TRIES to like anime, but it's all just the same old slog. I mean at least Hellsing Ultimate has breasts and blood and at least one person getting impaled with a musket (yes, a MUSKET, not a bayonet, not a rifle) and Trigun's characters have some actually interesting personalities. The other 95% of anime is bad actions shows, dramas about socially awkward and quite honestly dull people and giant robots that are fine up to a point until you realize the one character falls quite perfectly into the second characterization.
Shameful. I think an episode is supposed to be like, what, 2 to 3 chapters? They could have at least showed a couple more episodes and gave us some closure.thebobmaster said:I did some research. So you watch the first 10 episodes of a 52 episode show and say you don't know what's going on?Epic_Rocker said:Hmm... I'd have to say Full Metal Alchemist. I watched the first ten episodes in a row, and didn't understand a thing about what was going on. I didn't even bother to watch the English Dub because after the first ten in Japanese, I didn't want to go through them in English. It was shit.. xP
