Hardcore gamers. Especially FPS. I mean for fuck's sake, it's a game.
That's like going up to an NFL star who just lost the Superbowl and saying "for fuck's sake it's a game".
...And? Professional or not, it's a fucking game

You forgot one:

The "I has mate" kind of player in RTS.

Imagine some one hosted a 6ppl game and 5/6 (incl. you) are already in, waiting for that the last remaining slot gets filled too.

Then they join.

"i have mates" they say
"kick everyone" they say
"so my mates can join" they say

If the host is stupid enough to kick an almost complete rouster of player for that dick, than the promisided mates will never come. Never. The "i has mate" knows that too, because he ALT+TABed out of the game and tries to reach them via ICQ while everyone else in the game waits themselves to death.

If the host doesnt kick the game empty, the "i has mate" will ***** long enough to bore other players that much, that they will also leave and the host will cancel his now only 2/6 game.

I wonder if anyone else noticed this. These people who take games too seriously. They mostly dwell around the Fighting and RTS area. Everything about them pisses me off. Allow me to elaborate further. These are the people who think they are professional game designers. They think they know every little thing about the game and accuse certain mechanics to be unbalanced. They nag your ear off about certain strategies, counter strategies, tier lostings and so forth but most of the time they won't have a clue about the game they're talking about. Often times they will contradict themselves. When a sequel to a game gets released they will accuse every little change of unbalancing the game. Normally their bark is a lot worse than their bite. When they loose, they will fill the room with excuses. "My controllers messed up, my computer is defective, I haven't played in awhile, the game is unbalanced and you're using a dominant strategy." Nothing is ever their fault.

Though they are certainly annoying, immature 12-year-olds are not the worst breed in my book. I've come to expect that kind of tripe from that age group, as they are ignorant twats who don't know what the real world is like.

The people that really tick me off are the elitists. You know, guys in their twenties or thirties who do nothing but insult you at how bad your skills are in comparision to theirs, even if they're awful at the game. If you try to defend yourself, they get all condescending on you, adding extra salt to the wound. If I end up on their team, I find myself hoping that we lose so their pompous ass is taken down a notch or two.

I also despise male chauvinists. Any time a female gets on voice chat, they try to make her leave either by insulting her or making lewd sexual innuendos.

If I were supreme leader of the world, I would create a database that would document these instances, find the offending players, and ban them from all online games FOR LIFE.

"Loltards"
The definition of loltard is large and varied, but it can be simply related to the person who uses the word 'noob' a lot, says he's 'leet' and then blames everyone for hacking when he gets killed for the eighth time in a row. This is the person, who, in MMORPGs, speaks like this.

"OMGZ U F4GS WTFA HARE U DUN? I WER DUIN FINE ND THN U GN ND WIPED US!!!1!!!1 U TARDS!! I'M 2 1337 4 U NUM NUTZ, I'M LEEVIN!"

...I'm going to go with the kind who, rather than deal with the problem and continue on with their lives, feel it necessary to broadcast their lack of tolerance on web forums, seeking apparent support for their misanthropy.

Jesus man, are you a DoW2/Dow player? Because this definently sums up half the player base on both.

Whiny sweary brats.
People who can't type English for shit (worse if they try to insult you with broken English/racism/etc).
People who refuse to accept that other people are smarter than them (aka retards).
Trolls (and griefers in general. I once met this fucktard in Left 4 Dead who never ever stopped teamkilling Survivors).
Killstealers.
Beggars.
Those incapable of grasping even basic game mechanics and how to play in general (I once met this Danish kid in WoW who sold his gear to buy a mount, he didn't know fuck English).

And that's about all I can think of for now.

Hint: You will always suck at first, get used to it. You'll get better with time
It's surprising how many higher up people forget that. I once had a guy send me a smug voice message about how shit I was in that last game and he was carrying the whole team and I 'should seriously look at myself'. I looked him up on Bungie (yes, it was on Halo 3 surprise surprise) and he was a Brigadier. I'd just barely made Sergeant and don't play very often. It made me chuckle at how much it pissed him off that I dared to be fairly new to the game.

I really hate the guys whose vocabulary exclusively revolve around the words '******', 'gay', 'freakin...' (thanks for that Seth MacFarlane!) and 'reatarded'. Some people will be better than you. Deal with it with good grace or keep your mouth shut.

-The rage quitters. Especially after they trash talk how good they are.
-The team swappers, that swap sides when their team is losing (happens alot in public TF2 games. They swap to spectator, then change sides when a spot frees up).
-The AFKer.
Actually in TF2 there is a auto-switcher for when teams become unbalanced, happened to me plenty of times, even when the match is almost won. Can't complain when I get switch to a winning team, awful when it's to the losing hah. But yeah, those people purposefully switching suck.

No, not yet at least. I never got into Warhammer and I don't know to many people who play the game. It's not just half the player basis for that particular game but most fighting games and a whole lot of RTS games. Might I add, they aren't as fun to play with as a lot of the more lenient players. Everything must be generic, safe and familiar. Example would be Brawl. No Items, Stock match, always some ideal balanced stage (just so you know there is no ideal stage). In Soul Caliber, they don't like it when certain weapons are used, even in a friendly and casual match. If a developer tries something new, these types of people won't buy the game because it messes with their established principles.

Add to my previous list.

RTS Gamers who constantly spam superweapons (examples of which are the CnC: Generals Nukes, Particle Cannons, and SCUD Storms) then call out hax when I destroy even a single powerplant, or their entire power grid with my airstrikes.
And those who constantly tank (especially Overlord, Apocalpyse, Paladin, Battle Fortress and so on so forth.) rush, I mean seriously, it generates lag (especially in Generals), and is a n00bish tactic. Thankfully they're easily countered by a Nuke or SCUD strike, air strike, or some cleverly placed mines and turrets in a key chokepoint.

And people, stop generalizing that 13 year olds and below are some of the worst breeds of gamers. It's insulting to me, I'm 13 for Rizal's sake!

the 'general'............. the asshole who thinks it his job to tell his team how to play because we are noob's ... I'm all for team play and tactics but when i have a better idea than captain smarty pants that really pisses me off and i usually do the opposite. i had a guy even telling me to drive a tank in BF:BC the direction that he wanted to, he was screaming "left, right, stop......listen to me!!!! stop, left! left!" whith that i drove in to the water he jumped out and i knifed him in his stupid face.

as i said i'm a team player not your slave to demand.

my most hated online gamer are the kill counters. my experience on Gunz the duel was more or less ruined by them.

try to learn a game, in which you can knock a guy down, unload two clips into their head while they are on the ground and they survive due to being higher level and better geared, then they hit you one time and you die... then... "*name* pwned for the X time" >_>; i mean seriously, how much of a life must you not have to actually keep track of the exact number of times you've killed each player by name, and yell it out on each kill?

Word...I one played with some kid...Weapon A was his name...He kept saying "I'M ELMO! I'M ELMO!" In his really annoying 12-year-old voice...
