Jumping the hurdles in Vice City was a pain. Like 4 different codes.

PS 1 and PS2 cheats might as well have had you hit every button on the controller in a random order, for all their complication.
Makes me so glad to be a PC gamer. Vice city, and other cheats are a lot easier to remember since they are actual words on the PC. Nuttertools was a weapons cheat. thugs tools was another. See? easier than button combinations. Just make sure you can type.

I wasn't a pc gamer back then. I switched though.

"Frankenstein" on the NES, an old, really lousy Castlevania ripoff, actually had a Game Genie code that made you "almost invincible." You wouldn't take damage on hit, but if you picked up health powerups you would lose health. It'd also only last until this one point in the last level where you have to swing over a big long pit of acid. You weren't immune to the acid even though you were immune to all other damage, and for some reason the code would just WEAR OFF once you got across.

Bearing in mind this is a Game Genie, which is supposed to basically re-wire the game's own code to the player's twisted whims, I'd say this qualifies as the worst cheat code of all time.

As has been said before, the suicide cheats are fairly useless. They are also disappointing in the fact that your character simply slumps to the ground and dies. It would me much more interesting (and a lot darker) if the code made your character shoot/stab/explode themselves.

In Baulder's Gate: Dark Alliance for the PS2, if you had god-mode on, then fell down a pit, you would be covered in white light (showing that you should be taking damage). Instead, it just slows you down to the point of being outrun by a crippled turtle.

GTA's codes are a pain in the ass to input on the PS2. One more advantage to PC gaming---cheat codes are easier to enter!

Seriously, the worst codes ever has to be the bonus content codes for Bionic Commando from Bionic Commando: ReArmed... Inputting D-Pad codes with an Xbox 360 controller, while under pressure to do it fast enough, is not a pleasant experience... It fucking sucked, to speak plainly. I spent atleast 12 tries on each code, and then also switching back and forwards between the two games in order to make sure that I had written down the codes correctly... And then switching to the computer in order to understand what I was doing wrong and why it wasn't working...

And then, after finally getting it right, I find out that the PS3 gets the bonus items by simply having a BC:R-savegame on their fucking harddrive... God I was pissed off...

I meant your lack of punctuation. Looks like you said that all in one sentance without breathing.
