My worst date was actually a first date. A meet up with a girl I met, gulp, online!
OH THE HORRORS!

No, she didn't end up being a 40 year old guy. However, it DID turn out that our lengthy emails and long MSN chats were moot in the light of being face to face. We barely said anything to each other. It was one of the most awkward moments I've ever been in. Maybe it was because of nerves, or maybe because it was the fact that she was WAY MORE UNATTRACTIVE in real life then on the pics she sent. They weren't fake pics, but they were misleading in how good looking she was.

And say what you want about being 'shallow' or what have you, but looks are important in any romantic relationship, and after I saw her...romance was out of the question. Woof!

My only classic date so far has been with an ex, catching up and seeing how she was doing over lunch. So yeah, my dates are pretty bad in total.

I went through the same thing. Exactly the same, photo deception and all but with one added variable: she brought her friend along. Fair enough, we did meet on the internet so having some RL back up is a good thing. Her friend however was the most obnoxious, patronizing person I have ever met. I was pretty much the third wheel.. the third wheel on your own 'date'? That sucks whichever way you look at it.

That's not really shallow, you were just victim to the plague of internet-style, top-down photos. They play tricks. I really don't think many internet crafted romances work out well... well except Purps and Larenxis, they seem to be working it out pretty well.

i very rarely go on a date

mainly cause girls don't find any intrest in me

and yet they date the Emo Pussy kid then give him Head

i gave up on dating and decided that if i had to ever go on a date my partner should be
REALLY intrested in me (or atleast like me more then i like them)

Worst date for me: getting there 20 minutes late thanks to a traffic accident that turned out to be the death of a sibling of a friend of a friend, the restaurant we picked having crappy food, me discovering she thought gamers were man-children and has no respect for them, and the theater only having tickers for bad comedies left when we got there. I got to sit there and cringe at horrible 'jokes' (we saw Date Movie) that ruined any possible make-out opportunities and at the end of the night I got nothing, no kiss, no handshake, nada.

Some random girl asked me out after we had a brief conversation in the high school cafeteria. The next day we had lunch at the cafeteria. Just like Baby Tea's situation, she brought a friend, she wasn't that attractive (although she was by no means ugly), and we hardly said anything to each other.

Needless to say, the relationship ended after that.
