Castlevania 2. It was just took Castlevania and said "here, everything that was fun in the first one? Yeah that's not in this game. In fact, there's nothing here from the original. Just incredibly obtuse puzzles that are damn near impossible to solve."

Well to be fair anything after Command and Conquer Tiberium Dawn and Red Alert was complete shit... They managed to fuck up a great story and a great series... Job well done Activision!
Just correcting an extremely critical flaw in your knowledge there.

Command and Conquer is not and never has been owned by Activision. It's story was going to get even worse if it had stayed with Westwood, and its owner up to today has been EA.

Pretty much most Sonic games after the Adventure series. Also, I didn't care much for FFX-2.

Any Crash Bandicoot game after Crash Bash. This goes double for the racing games.
Thank you so much for reminding me of Activison.

Any Crash game made under Activision.
Any Spyro game made under Activision.
And anything that Activision has killed probably goes here too.
activision has a habit of killing franchises via executive meddling, one year game rule on call of duty and the horrible state of every pitfall game after the 1st, have you ever seen the 3D ps2 pitfall game?

Off the top of my head...

- Shadow Hearts: From The New World

- Devil May Cry 2

- Final Fantasy X-2
I wanted to know what happened to everyone, not Johnny and his merry band of misfits. THey were interesting, but not as much as Joachim.

Devil May Cry 2 made me seven different kinds of sad.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Xenosaga II yet. Thank god III made up for it but having to play through II to get it is almost a crime.

Every Command and Conquer game post Westwood, especially the Red Alert series.

Captcha: "Ervivin Albert" That just sounds uncomfortable.

CoD has five developers running its mill. They break down into 2 teams of 2 and one on its own. Each double team develops the single and multiplayer segments seperately over 2 years and co-operate on the graphical designs. The one on its own is quite new and seems to be for making experimental spinoffs.

Is not the best way to maintain a franchise. And as such i think it will fall to pieces by 2015.

What do you mean by a 'pitfall' game anyway?

Blood Omen 2. The Legacy of Kaine series will never make sense because of that game. I just hated everything about it.

Max Payne 2 kind of for mostly the same reason as above. I will admit they did improve maybe a couple of things but most of the game was like a step backward.

Lies. The first two Sonic Adventures were very well recieved, 86 and 89 on Metacritic respectively. I enjoyed them immensely.
Neither review scores nor your personal preference changes anything I just said.
Yes, it does. You said the games were poorly designed. If the games were widely enjoyed and well recieved by critics, then the design did what it was trying to do. That's what's called good design.
This just in:
- World of Warcraft is the best game in the world.
- The Wii is the best gaming system in the world.
- McDonald's is the world's best restaurant.

All three are true because they're widely popular, well-received by critics, and therefore, by virtue of those things and only those things, good.

You have convinced me beyond a shadow of a reasonable doubt that good game design is proven by critical acclaim and widespread enjoyment.

Well then I'd love to know what you consider to be the justification for what's a good game. You obviously don't think it's personal opinion considering when I stated mine, you called my opinion a lie. Also, I don't recall saying they were good because most people played them, but if the game is well liked by a majority of those who play it, that probably means the designers accomplished their goal. Actually, none of your pathetically stupid metaphors are the most popular or best recieved of their type, so I'm guessing you thought those metaphors as well as this entire argument.

Resident Evil 5 was a pretty damn good step BACK in the series. It took the horror aspect of the Resident Evil series and took a big DUMP all over it. Gone was the inventory, gone was the puzzles, gone was the scary aspect. Resident Evil 5 is just a Clichéfest of every single game cliché of the last 3 years (a sidekick, girl with big tits, the hero is handsome and has taken some steroids, the girls have some sexy clothes ans many others...)it's like if Resident Evil 5 was made by a team of american developpers.

I actually liked Kane & Lynch 2 i thought that the game was fun, the story was interesting even if the story is dumb and the Arcade Mode is really fun.

The only way i can agree with that statement more is to directly quote it.

Fable 3.
An ok game on it's own merits, but unfortunately like any sequels, I must compare it to the previous.
I agree with this.

It just took about 30 steps in the wrong direction and was so damn over simplified that it was nearly unplayable.

Can't even finish the story because I get almost impossibly bored with it.

from russia with love, (everything or nothing was so full of fast paced action and different things to do, frwl was so dull and repetative)

bioshock2- i dont want to escort little sisters all day, why dont the machines talk, why cant i use my goddamn drill for more then 3 seconds god fuck it, it was like replaying the first game with a big load of shitty game play on top

guitar hero 4- I liked using the regular controller to play, i don't want to use a guitar series ruined

tony hawk 4 - besides being a boring entry it was part of an ongoing thing where too many different types of moves were added, if i can rank up a million points linking ground tricks why even skate

ssx3- a downhill hub world doesn't work, why fade the music out when im doing badly it makes it suck more, the courses lacked as many shortcuts as ssx the characters were more bland sometimes when youd knock opponents down they'd spawn far in front of you, ugh

perfect dark zero - holy fuck was it awful

spiderman-shattered dimensions, ultimate and 3

modern warfare 2 multi player - everyone was overpowered

deus ex 2 boo
