those little alien foot soldier things from Halo. actually, all the enemies from Halo look like the result of a 22 year old Devry graduate who loves Linkin Park.

How can character design get more awesome than a 1 meter tall hairless mammaloid that breaths methane from a triangular backpack tank and has articulated limbs?!?!

I think the enemies from Jet Force Gemini are rather poorly designed, all just bipedal ants and floating ant heads. Not really a problem though, I gather it's meant to stereotype the old-fashioned "Enemy Bugz!" style sci-fi.

I don't know about enemies but one of the nastiest design choices I've ever seen in a game was in Conker's Bad Fur Day. When you're a bat and you shit on the villagers to kill them you aiming screen is from the perspective of just inside the bat's anus. Its pretty fucking gross.

Dark Force from Phantasy Star 2 (or almost any of the PS games for that matter.) He was a huge mass with bulging biceps and heads growing out of those biceps, all with mouths that look like the creatures in "Aliens" minus the small head down the throat. It also didn't help that he was hard as fuck to beat.
