I don't this counts, but I'll bring it up anyway. There are too types of games; the kind where you find solutions thinking with game logic, and games where you find solutions with real-life logic. I tend to suddenly jump between the two, which results in long periods of stupidity on even the easiest of puzzles.

Buying TNA Impact!, Thinking "Since Midway had 2 years to make this game, it should be good." Got it a week after release, played it for about 2 weeks, got bored of the repetitive repetitiveness. (IT WAS THAT REPETITIVE!) Then saw the price drop to $20.

Installing Sim City Societies.

Only virus I've ever had *that* much trouble removing.

Buying Myst V on the assumption it would be somewhere near the quality of Myst I-IV. Seriously, talk about ending the series on a low note.

I used my Master Ball on an Onyx.
That's the best thing I ever heard.

I used mine on Articuno, celebrated for a little while, then found Mewtwo. I've never *facepalm*'d so badly in my life.

During the Shivering Isles expansion for Oblivion I forgot to save before some choice or other and only got the achivement for one. I now have 1230 achivement points for Oblivion and will have to complete the Entire Shivering Isles again for that last 20 which I cannot even nearly be bothered to do.
Thankfully, someone warned me to save it before I make the decision, so I'll be ok when I get to that part. How annoying for you - they don't seriously expect us to save before every dialogue choice, do they?

Who wouldn't? Oniyx > Mewtwo by far.

My answer, In WoW I felt it a good idea to express my feelings about a certain guildy. Luckily for me, just as I hit enter they log on, meaning they are greeted with my bitching. But wait, there's more! There girlfriend who just happened to be on at the time (and whom I wasn't aware was dating them) was already on and had a fair amount of pull in the guild. Needless to say, I wasn't in that guild for much longer...

****ing up my Oblivison game save so I have to go back and redo the WHOLE section of Mankar Camoran's paradise.
I really enjoyed that section of the quest. I thought I'd hate the main quest 'cause I saw Martin as a 1D character, and I hated the Oblivion gates. But that part I really enjoyed.

I bought the Kingdom Hearts game that came out on the GBA. Biggest waste of money I ever spent, it was horrific, and the worst thing was it only traded in for £5. I'd paid £25 for it. Completely put me off playing the PS2 titles once I got hold of one.

When I was younger it took me long enough to realise that not only are movie based games SHIT but that they ruin your overall enjoyment of the movie.

I bought the mystic map pack for halo 3 because my friends told me too. I quit playing it 2 days after I bought it, that goes with the legendary map pack too.

Selling all my Xbox games after getting the RROD and then someone bought me a new Xbox for Christmas that year so have slowly had to build up the collection again.

I am still pissed about it!

Zoldner (should have bought Battlefield 2 DAMMIT!!!)

Bourne Conspiracy (yeah a conspiracy because it's only the 1st bloody story, not the whole Bourne saga like they kept mentioning in previews)

I have a terrible habit of restarting RPG's because I'm unsatisfied with some small detail of my character... I do it too often for it just to be a quirk. I'm the "commitment issues" guy of the RPG universe, unless my character is just how I want him/her I'm probably going to want to restart... leads to a lot of time wasted.

easy solution, turn the difficulty slider all the way to easy, could probably beat Shivering Isles in an afternoon
