Assassin's creed Brotherhood+Revelations. Map; Monte Saint michelle. Why? There is a tightrope, and it goes over about 2/3 of the map. Anyone remotely close to that tightrope while walking on the ground gets slaughtered. And the fun thing is, jump attacks cannot be stopped in Assassin's creed multiplayer. Urgh.

Malinovka, or as it's more commonly known, Campingnovka.
http://wiki.worldoftanks.com/Malinovka
It's unpleasant in standard battles where the starting areas are as shown in the link, and extremely unpleasant in assault mode as the defenders start on the hill overlooking the capture point.

I've recently started hating Caspian Border in BF3. I don't have ANY proper setups for the distances in that map, and I ALWAYS end up being raped by a tank..
What!? I think it's easily the best map in BF3 and maybe the best map I've ever played in any game. The only complaint I can kind of relate to is that it can be quite uneventful with the 24 player limit on consoles but other than that it's the closest to perfection I've seen when it comes to map design. (I'm referring to conquest on consoles)

Operation Metro and Grand Bazaar on other hand are just horrible. They're trying to deliver the fast paced close quarters action of Cod but with map design worse than any map even in MW3 (more of this in a second) and frame rate, lag, and controls that just aren't suitable for CQB.

The reason I compared Metro and Bazaar to Modern Warfare 3 is because it has the worst map roster of any game I've played. Dome, Downturn, Bootleg, Carbon, Hardhat, Outpost and Mission are terrible and many more are just about decent. Black Ops had the same problem to a lesser extent but what made it almost worse for me is that the maps I hated (Summit, Nuketown, Firing Range) were everyone else's favourites and got constantly voted instead of the maps I liked. I should probably mention that I play(ed) search and destroy almost exclusively since that affects the gameplay and map dynamics considerably.

If I had to choose one map that beats them all in utter shittiness, I'd say... Operation Metro. Like many have already said, on top of the very narrow and linear structure with a couple of nade spammy chokepoints, it's also ridiculously unbalanced. On top of having shorter way to the B flag, it's way easier for the Russians to push through if the Americans somehow manage to capture B. While the Americans have to advance through one narrow set of escalator or one flight of stairs (the chokepoints mentioned earlier), Russians have the luxury of three doorways that aren't at all as camp and nade spam friendly as the routes Americans have to use. What makes it even worse is that everyone else seems to love this map so it can be difficult to find a server where I don't have to touch this piece of shit.

Edit: I can't believe I wrote peace of shit :D

I see your point there, but I usually do quite well on the American side of Operation Metro due to my commanding playstyle. When I get to do game-changing decisions based on how the other team is playing, and serving commands through the chat that people actually follow, then I am truly happy in my pants. Though when I (very often) am placed in a team full of people with team play as the last priority, and the objective being a foreign word for them, I really start raging at the game. If one tries to play by the objective of Metro, it's kind of cool thinking of the whole invasion-esque appeal that you get from playing as Americans, due to the Russians having "control" over Paris at the time. It feels sort of realistic in some sort of way.

The reason why I hate Caspian Border as of just now, is because I usually end up on teams that are not to keen on teamwork, and usually just run around, being targeted by snipers, tanks, helicopters and jets, therefore reducing the number of Ticks we've got by a billion/minute. It's frustrating on every map, but this map just seems to take the cake, as I usually play with a Cobra RDS, Foregrip, TacLight AEK-971 on almost all the maps[footnote]It's a really good and versatile combination.[/footnote], but on this map I am forced to switch to longer distance-sets like the SV98, and since I don't have the Straight Pull Bolt (I suck with two-shot snipers, as I usually just hit on the first shot), and therefore just end up being brutally raped by anything.
Also, people who are really good with helicopters seem to be ending up on the enemy team EVERY DAMN TIME, while we have idiots that crash.
I totally get that about Metro, but that style of play where the other team defends while the other tries to break through is already the point of the rush game mode. Conquest is more about an all out balanced war and Metro fails to deliver that. I guess metro could work as a conquest assault map (more tickets for Americans) but even then it's the no vehicles close quarters setting that turns me away.

I wouldn't recommend sniping in Caspian if your team is already struggling with enemy vehicles. C4 can do wonders in B and C flags and engineer is also an all around great choice. But since assault seems to be your favourite class I can understand why a vehicle map is not to your liking. I enjoy using vehicles as well as destroying them and that's why I love this map.

BF3's Operation Metro. If the US team doesn't get brave and advance with smoke, which never happens by the way, they always lose. Always. The Russian team has less of a distance to run to get to B. If this map had at least one more side route to circumvent the obscene explosive cluster-fuck that is the stairs and escalators at B then they might stand more of a chance.
the US spawn needs to be moved 20-30m closer to B so that you both arrive at the same time, also another route that so that one spot can't cover the entire entry to a point (think that shop on B, you can hit both stairs from there)

Reach has some big issues with weapon placement, particularly on Pinnacle where one team gets early access to the shotgun, rockets and a sniper rifle pretty much right in their spawn, while the other team gets another sniper rifle which tucked away in one of the most grenade vulnerable areas of the map.
Fair game, fuck yeah.
I knew I was forgetting a map when I posted Sword Base! Pinnacle is the utmost epitome of terrible maps. There is literally no cover and one team gets access to all of the power weapons. This combination creates the literally most unbalanced game in existence. Blue team kicks the crap out of red every single round for time eternal, yet Bungie made no attempt to fix it. (Bungie not fixing something simple in Reach? INCONCEIVABLE!)

I think shipment was it's name from CoD4, the one with the long cargo ship. The one where you'll do worse playing normally than by choosing the 3x frag perk and chucking grenades down towards the other side of the ship so everyone became their own improvised mortar launcher.

At least with stuff like Nuketown or similar very tiny maps that craziness could be spawn killing for 5 minutes one game or awesome mayhem the next. Shipment was never fun. Ever.
That was Wet Work. Shipment was MW1's version of Rust/Nuketown/whatever.

I too hated Shipment on the PC version of CoD4...LMGs and nades everywhere. God help you if someone managed to get a airstrike or chopper >_>

For some reason I have never particularly enjoyed any of the Back to Karkand maps. I'm not 100% sure why, I just don't have as much fun on them as the others. With the possible exception of Tehran Highway. Not sure why, but I've always hated that map. It's not even that I do that badly at it, it just doesn't "do it" for me :(

Not sure where all the hate for 2fort is coming from. I personally like that map.

Although I will admit, I do experience enemy engineers occasionally setting up nests within our own intel room. :/

As for me, I can't say I'm a big fan of Nucleus. I'm not sure what it is, I just don't feel comfortable playing on that map.

Also note that I've never really played CoD in general, so I can't say anything about the maps in those games.

Shipment in COD4. I still had a lot of fun in it though(SAW with foregrip, stopping power and deep impact. I got 80+ kills in every match of HQ Headquarters in that map. Don't ask me why that map was on the HQ Headquarters map rotation list).
Rust in MW2
Nuketown in Blops
Operation Métro in Battlefield 3. Play a match of Conquest in that map and you understand. Those fucking escalators......

Was Operation Metro the map that was in the BF3 multiplayer beta? If so, yea, that map is fucking atrocious. The first area with all the goddamn bush campers... I swear to Christ. If I ever saw someone not laying in a bush in that area I think I'd have a stroke. The non-DLC, non-vehicle portions of BF3 are extremely campy in general, which is why I decided not to buy the game originally. I hate campers with the fury of a thousand burning suns.

The close-quarters DLC is awesome though.

That map is so awful, I've already raged at it on this thread. It's so badly designed, there are no places that are safe from the roof. That's terrible for assassins creed
