I'm honestly struggling to see what's wrong with OP's song.

Admittedly, the genre isn't my thing but it sounded quite pleasant to me.

So all my friends here, we have seen many threads about best OST in gaming. now about worst. what is the worst OST you have heard?

Id go with

theres lot of terrible ones but this is worst.
"Suteki da ne?" isn't the best song but I wouldn't call it the worst. It's just average.

The first thing I thought of was Stage 3 from Bugs Bunny Birthday Blowout. I saw ZetaPlays play it recently, and it's just so messy.

Disappointed no one has posted SF1 Sagat yet.

In before B-Cell claims it is better put together than Suteki Da Ne.
Oh wow. That's awful...my ears. That's much worse than the one I chose.

My personal "favorite" in this category is Mass Effect 3. I mean, just listen to this:

This angsty, pseudo emotional piano-plink-plonk is a real turnoff. This is so generic that it could be the soundtrack to literally every movie or game that is't a straight up comedy.
It has no uniqueness, it has no balls, it has nothing memorable to it.

Where are the austere but wonderfully atmospheric synthie-sounds of the fist ME?
This is, what I would call "the sound of Mass Effect", the wonderful vigil-theme, first heard at the beginning of the first game, and later you get to hear it again during the best bit of story expositon I've yet seen in any videogame, the encounter with an ancient AI called vigil:

To me personally this piece is so emotional that it gives me the shivers.

Many people, for whatever reason, seem to like ME3's soundtrack, but for me it does absolutely nothing.

I actually like ME 3's soundtrack, but generally agree that Jack Wall's work on the franchise was far superior. Vigil was one of the best game tracks of the last decade.

NotGTAV... I mean, it was so bad that most of the tracks are not only NOT in the game, but were also made by just the developers themselves... Uhg! Gag me with a spoon!

Other than that, mother fucking Pong! Classic or not, it had a fucking shitty OST to boot... At least Tetris had a "good" song, despite it being a licence-free cover...

What's your opinion, if you'd like to share it, on the development of the Deus-Ex soundtrack from the fist game to Human Revolution? To me it often seems like, as production values increase and more reputable composers are hired, the heart and soul of the music gets more and more diluted into the videogame-equivalent of the n+1st Hans Zimmer score.

The only Deus Ex game I have played is HR, actually >.<

Regarding your point though, I partially agree. I don't think the budget itself is the problem. Rather, it's the mentality of "oh we have more money to throw at this thing, so let's get a big name and call it a day". I may prefer Jeremy Soule's work on the Morrowind soundtrack above that of the later TES games, but I'll be the first to admit that Skyrim's much larger budget did not diminish the quality of his work in any way.

Haud Villiage from Suikoden V. It's basically hipster town and the OST sounds off tune and drunk. It fits the theme very well but dear god you do not want to be there long.

Also OP does a very poor job (And by poor I mean nonexistant) job of saying why his example qualifies.

If this genuinely surprises you, I recommend looking at the OP's post history.

Can't believe no one has mentioned Sonic R yet. Not just a terrible soundtrack in the context of a Sonic game but terrible in general.

Also in regards to Suteki da ne I'm inclined to (kind of) agree with OP. I find it a bit grating. In fact, while the Final Fantasy series has great music in general I've found all of the vocal songs to be pretty unbearable.

The first Deus Ex is still Greatest game of all time. I dont even think mankind divided will surpass it however will be best since original. HR was very good too. still to this day i have not played game that is better than HR after 2011.

While there are one or two duds that I find out of place, XIII-2 has a truly wonderful soundtrack; that piece in particular is one of my favourites.

I... can't really remember any truly bad ones. Probably because I either turn off the sound, or because I turn off the music and substitute it with my own. Time & Eternity's stupidly long battles near the end of the game became a lot more interesting when they started sounding like Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

I'll...just leave this here:

For the uninitiated, this is the theme of the game Dontrel the Dolphin, it is played throughout the entire game on loop... Prepare to descend into utter hell.

I really hate the Bethesda music. It's just so forgetful. It just sound like they recorded some generic scores that they could play over whatever the player was doing. Because that's exactly what they did. It doesn't even set up decent ambiance : /

I despised the ME soundtrack almost as much as the ending. It actually hurt my enjoyment of the second and third game. It absolutely reeks of that awful Hans Zimmer sound.
