Ravenholm in Half-Life 2. A near-endless onslaught of headcrab zombies and the dreaded Fast Zombies, and you don't get the only adequate weapon for dispatching them (the shotgun) until halfway through. It didn't help that I was scared shitless the first time I played it. Those charred corpses on electrical fences...

Its not my favorite game but in MGS4 when your in europe and you have to fallow some risistance member through the streets.... that bit drove me mad for two reasons. 1: It feels so un-metal gear, like it just dosn't fit very well into the game i thought and 2: the guy your fallowing just seems to see you round coners.. so frustrating! Also another part in a game would be trying to escape from the crab/spider tank in FFVIII that bit also drove me insane..

EDIT: Oblivion! Can't see a damn thing in those caves! Torch, yeah fine but when you draw your sword and shield and have to just flail in circles, that gets frustrating
Hated that too.Nearly quit the game several times(I didn't though)because there's so much fighting in the dark

Mass Effect: Loading times disguised as elevator rides
Yeah and enough people complained about them so Bioware decided to replace the disguised loading screens with...actual loading screens. They're definitely a lot more interesting.Good job everyone

OT: Fallout 3 -subway tunnels.Ok the place I'm looking for is just on the other side of that pile of rubble. Can I get to it?No I have to go through a mile of ghoul infested tunnels with a pathetic light that illuminates an area about 2 feet in front of me

Ocarina of Time - Having to constantly pause the game to enter the inventory screen in order to switch between normal and iron boots in the water temple
I wouldn't mind the elevator ride as much if they if the characters talked or made jokes or something but they only speak to each other in the Citadel Elevators.

The third act of Bioshock, which is pretty much everything after the big revelation. Even Ken Levine, the creative director of the game, said they dropped the ball on it. Story dropped all subtlety, had a boring fetch quest and escort mission, and the boss fight was hindered by the helmet which I couldn't see through. Very disappointing end to a fantastic game.

Most of the games I consider my favorite are also Multiplayer. And in this day and age, are easiest made busy with an Online Multiplayer... and when there's online Multiplayer, there's Humans involved.... I think my point is being made clear.

I suppose if I had to pick something else, I'll be random and list some random stuff.

Kingdom Hearts Series: The Little Mermaid levels.... just.... no, please stop that.
Marvel vs Capcom 3: WHERE THE HELL IS MEGAMAN!?!
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2: I'd have bought it if they hadn't replaced the blood with boobs. I don't mind boobs; I love them quite a bit, but you don't replace the blood in a Ninja Gaiden game.
Super Smash Bros Brawl: The Coin / Trophy System was better in Melee...

In Monster Hunter Tri when the Deviljho shows up when you are completely unprepared, and keeps you from completing your quests.

Sure they're not the most exciting things in the world but I'd still take ME1's elevator rides over ME2's loading screens any day
