Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Its the ultimate heist of the theives guild questline. I just got to the end. I was beneath the blood works. the gaurds had already dealt me quite a bit of damage and the fall brought me down to one health. I ran past every fucking vampire i had previously sneaked by easily. I breath a sigh of relief when i get to the waterfront door. Thats when it happened. I got through the door and the fall from the grate down to the rocks below was just a little bit too far and i was killed. It autosaved as soon as i exited and i never backed up my file. Now if I load that file. I will just fall out the grate and die forever. I have never beaten the thieves guild questline and was looking forward to getting that cowl and the thieves guild hall. Now i have to start over, which wouldnt be so bad if not for the arrow of extrication and savilla's stone quest.

Tell me about some similar experience.

Okay. Sucks for you. Now are we supposed to discuss our worst things or simply pity you until the mods lock the thread? You may want to add a discussable question to the OP.

That's too bad.

Try opening the menu as soon as you load up and drinking a potion or casting a heal spell before you land.
my character was born under the atronach (no regenerating magic) and i was out of magic and i had used all my healing potions.

OP, if you're playing on PC, you can use the tcl command on the dev console (use the tilde ~ key to open) to toggle clipping and get yourself down safely. If you're on console, that really sucks.

Random thing: Did anyone else notice that the cave in the Thieves Guild(The one where you go through the secret tunnel to find the hidden wizards tower) led had a water bit where if you swam down long enough you'd find the Giant Slaughter Fish?

Yeah but i steered clear of it because my chracter was low level at the time. If i was argonian and a higher level I probably would have taken it on but nope. Low level imperial.

In Oblivion, I got a glitch in the Vampire Cure quest where I didn't have an option to give the witch bloodgrass. So I was stuck as a vampire until I downloaded the Shivering Isle, which fixed the problem.

I didn't but I should have. Like you I was a low level imperial but I had gotten lucky and had a amulet loot drop that had a infinite breath underwater spell on it and I figured: I can take my time and fight it!

Apparently Bethseda had turned that creature into a boss creature. Ouch.
