So I was playing Mount&Blade just before, and I accidentally ran into a king of an enemy nation. Now, I had about 80-85 troops with me, and this guy (King Yaroglek), had well over 220. Through sheer dedication, skill, tactics, and time, I managed to overcome this monarch in battle, although it took me round abouts 90 minutes to finish.
I sent the scamp running, but not only that, I also saved the innocent fortress the king was laying siege upon. I felt higher than a kite. I went to the Captive page, and took on a few of his best captives as my men. The mass slaughter ended up as a blessing, as it allowed me to purge the weak units from my force and replace them with knights, heavy lancers, expert horse bowmen, etc. Mid way through taking his remaining forces captive, however, my game suddenly cut to the desktop.
"Mount&Blade has stopped working"
I nearly cried. I went back and checked, and no, it didn't save. In fact, I hadn't saved for quite a while beforehand.
So, what's your most inopportune game crash, and how did it effect your sanity? (I'm expecting to see a whole lot of Morrowind/Oblivion here)
