This is Halo right? Then I believe that the forklift would like to have a word with you... of course I guess you could say that it doesn't really count as a "Useful" vehicle that's bad per say, more like a "Joke" vehicle that's intentionally bad.
While I agree that the Forklift is an intentionally bad vehicle, I am forever in its debt by somehow getting me through this section on "The Pillar of Autumn" on Legendary that took me about an hour to complete.

Forklifts never die Jorge, they're just missing in action... *cries*

Mako from Mass Effect and every vehicle from Half-Life 2.

But the best? The Manta from Unreal Tournament 3 on PC controls beautifully.

The M35 Mako still handles better than anything in the godforsaken PC port of Saints Row 2 and it's more useful than the M-44 "i-can't-survive-a-shot-from-the-.22LR" Hammerhead.

I hate the Hammerhead from Mass Effect 2 so much. During that one mission with the tons of Geth in the ruins, it only takes a small amount of damage from the REGULAR GETH TROOPERS to make the damn thing explode. So you have to sit waaaay far back from all of the Geth so that they don't shoot you, squint your eyes and try and make out the vague black dots to shoot at. It's incredibly tedious and one of the worst designed levels in a game ever. The other levels with the Hammerhead aren't so bad considering there aren't any enemies, but I still loathe the Hammerhead with every last cell in my body.

The Hammerhead controls, and has a better weapon than the Mako, but its just too damn fragile, if it had the control and weapons of the Hammerhead, and the durability of the Mako, it would make the perfect vehicle

The Mongoose is an excelent vehicle. Sure everything you said about it's attributes was right but you left out the fact that nobody can hit you if you drive it the right way. It is an awesome flag grab vehicle and can out menuver almost anything in the game. I have taken down scorpion tanks with that little vehicle (and a buddy) simply because the tank couldn't get a good hit in on me, we didn't even have a power weapon like rockets or splazer, we had assault rifles and grenades. The wraith kill count I have with it is astronomical.
O RLY SIR? (Sorry)

Surprisingly I have gotten a few kills with the forklift. I was driving it around just for laughs and a grunt stuck me with a plasma grenade as I charged him with it. Ensuing explosion killed me and several grunts.
...
STILL COUNTS!

Any of the lorries in any GTA game. Damn it was a pain in the ass when those things came up in missions.

Also, the Atlas in ME3. Nothing specifically off with it, but it just felt wrong somehow.

Anything that weighs about 8 pounds: vehicles in HL2, Far Cry series, Crysis, GTA prior to IV, etc.

Those and the Shift Unleashed cars. Fuck that. In the ear.

The vehicles in GTA IV get a lot of hate for their controls. Personally I find them amazing because how realistic the physics work. Most of the cars handle exactly like the one's they're imitating in real life, and it takes real precision to properly drift and drive fast and take fast turns etc.
Plus doing stunts in that game is like having a whole other game to play.

As for the half life vehicles, yeah the controls are pretty unintuitive, but I didn't often find it hindering gameplay.

As for me, I found Gears of War 2's vehicles annoying. Particularly during the sequence where you have to drive across the breaking ice.

I guess it isn't technically a vehicle, but it is the closest I'll get for the majority of games I play.

The horse in Two Worlds. Jesus Christ, I've never seen more horrible controls in almost anything.

Did you ever invest points in the Riding skill?

Anyway... the Forklift from Halo: Reach was the BEST VEHICLE EVER! I beat the game with that thing. If I had a choice between Forklift and Scorpion or Warthog, I took the Forklift every time AND KICKED ASS WITH IT!

All the cars in Jak 3 for the PS2 (remember them)? How they were mandatory for about 45 per cent of the missions and flew into thr air if it hit a dune...which were everywhere...because it was in a desert! It made the racing missions tooth-pullingly frustrating, because it was mostly up to luck as to whether my buggy tipped or not. They did look cool though.
Also, Mako for the win.

i remember the vehicles in Jak 3 where resoundingly rubbish.
But to be honest, it seems 80% of helicopters ever seen i na game get shot down, with at least 70% of those going into a tailspin before crashing/exploding/explocrashing.
Triple ninja'd on the same page? Man, not my day.

The Dune Hopper was a neat idea (platforming with a car), but it was really wonky.

But ya, those were the worst vehicles I have ever driven in a game. I could be driving in a straight line on flat ground and then spin out of control without even touching the stick. I golded the solo-race in that game twice (because first time didn't save). After doing that, I'm cheating and glitching my orbs to avoid driving those wretched cars again. The zoomers weren't angels, but DAMN! And that is the #1 reason why I don't play Jak X.

Not to mention the vehicles made up a HUGE chunk of missions that could've been spent platforming (remember, this IS a platformer). Seriously, you get next to no platforming until the 1/3 point.

EDIT:
Captcha: Hands Down
Hands down indeed!

the crappy mule thing in read dead multiplayer.the horse was bad enough but this thing was just taking the piss.
*slaps across the face with a stolen glove* You will NOT speak ill of the most majestic donkey mankind has ever known. you can find my gamertag on my profile. I challenge you to a duel for the donkey's honor.

Anyway, my bid for worst vehicle would have to be Schpeltiger from No More Heroes.

I hated this PoS.
Was that on console or computer? Cause I found it really smooth on my PC. It couldn't have been any better actually.

OT: I don't know if this will count but I found the horse in Shadow Of The Colossus to be very painful if you want to steer with accuracy. If they didn't put the invisable rails on the bridges, I would of dropped of at least 50 times.

Well, there was that OP'd to hell and back tank in CoD:WaW multiplayer.

The Mongoose wasn't really bad, you just needed the knowledge to use the thing to it's full potential, on a plus side, it was fun as hell to ride around the map in that thing.

I actually thought the Mako wasn't THAT bad, just rough around the edges. If they'd kept it after ME1 and worked on it, I believe it could have been really good.

While I'm sure this has been said...

that FUCKING MAKO.
The Mako was awesome, especially on Virmire. The only place I've EVER had a problem with it was that one "Destroy the Geth outpost" mission, but that's because taking out a well-fortified area in the middle of a craggy valley with no visibility against a live Geth Colossus was was a pain-in-the-ass. Had to snipe the Rocket Troopers and Snipers from foot before running over the Colossus in the Mako and shooting it with the big gun, then running away before Geth Prime and his lackeys roasted the craft.
