I can't stand the Acog on a Sniper , without the ability to hold my breath I had to wait for the shot to line itself up, something that cost me on multiple occasions.

Though I must say that the thermal vision takes the cake simply because it removes the skill needed in sniping, at least the skill in being able to actually see your target from across the map.

While I can see your point, you must remember that being able to see your opponent and being able to hit them are to different things, something that someone with no sniping skill will not be able to do. By the time they get it they would of already learned to spot a moving opponent.

The shotguns on any Modern Warfare 2 assault rifles. I just don't like them, I never get any kills. If I want a shotgun, I'll just use the SPAS 12.

I loathe the grenade launcher attachments from Modern Warfare (2, specifically, since I've not played the original, but I've read that it's just as annoying to play against), to the point that when I played against a "noob tuber" (a title that Infinity Ward seems to have endorsed) with a sexual gamertag, I filed a complaint. It's especially annoying that they require you to use it to get the under-mounted shotgun.

I have a friend who will noob tube everyone until he runs out of ammo for the attachment, then get purposefully killed so he has full ammo again. I refused to play with or against him ever again.

I really dislike the uprgrades for the Revolver in Bioshock solely because of the damage to the aesthetic appeal. I mean I like the look of the revolver, charming and elegant but now with an extra roll of bullets forced onto one side it just looks like it's sprouting a deformed tumor.
Not really for me, the rest of the upgrades are okay though.

As you know, by the time you fully upgrade the shotgun, it practically looks like it's running on clockwork - and that makes up for the pistol's weird tumor-like bullet chamber in coolness factor.

Either the black dot sight in COD WAW because for some reason wwII iron sights are just so good or red dot sight add-ons in Rainbow Six Vegas 1 or 2, they just seem pointless to use since you can take cover in third person.

No I was talking about mounting a chainsaw onto your gun. Looks really cool, but so damn impractical that it's amazing.

The thing would weigh a **** ton, requires fuel. No it'd be more practical to mount a single shot shot gun on the bottom of your rifle and carry 5 shells for it as you don't really need more. That way it stays light and practical.

And then there's the problem with aiming with a huge weight in the front.

Personally, I'd go for a Bayonet or one shot shot gun.

On topic I hate the undermounted shotgun in MW2 I really can't find a use for it most of the time plus I'd rather have a red dot sight or a heartbeat sensor.

The barrel upgrade for the shotgun in STALKER Clear Sky. Let's change a shotgun so it only fires slugs, great idea.

Alternatly the full auto mod for the Chinese Pistol in the weapon mod kits mod. Each round only does a maxumum of 4 damage, it has a 10 round mag, let's just burn through those babbies...

Ammo types in Bioshock. They're completely superfluous and an immense pain in the ass to load and reload. I'd rather run out of ammo and switch to a weapon then have the game try to switch ammo types for me, force me to go through the reload animation, then force me to wait for it to load up another weapon when I decide that I seriously don't need electric rounds. I get the point behind them, but the most thought you ever put into using them is, "oh, I'm fighting a machine, I guess I'll switch to armor piercing." It may as well not have the ammo types and just have one kind of ammo that affects everything.

To really give you an idea of how pointless these ammo types really are, think of the incendiary crossbow bolts. These may be the most needlessly excessive weapon add-on in any game, EVER; in addition to firing a sharpened metal rod through the enemy's skull it sets them on fire. Sounds fun, but half the things in the game already set enemies on fire. Why was this necessary? It just boggles the mind.

What about the trip wires? I used those to kill an insane amount of Big Daddies.

Look at your cross hairs as you JUST put on the laser sight. It shrinks by about half a centre metre. It also doesn't expand so much with Assault rifles and snipers when moving.

I'm assuming you're a shotgun user because it doesn't really do anything for shotguns.

Aside from being able to see where everyone's aiming, it doesn't help too much with a shotgun. It does have that advantage.

While yes, Gears of War was what I was originally thinking. But that said I was talking about generally speaking about a chainsaw on a gun. In any game it'd be impractical.

Also I did mention that it looked really cool. Just so damn impractical that I might as well try sniping with a Mac 10 in one hand with my eyes close on full auto while I'm on Jeopardy while I'm at it.

Ahh I didn't think of that, and it's so true as well. Some times when you're fighting the tank it's satisfying to see 4 dots on the tank.

By this you mean to point out that it isnt actually thermal imaging? the way that snow is white, and your enemies are white? They were quite slack here just making the environment black and white then white sillhouttes for people, its places like afghan that should make thermals useless, not siberia. I can hit people across the map just as easily with my holographic site anyway. not that I'm perfect at that but I frequently out-snipe my enemie snipers with an assault rifle, presently the Scar-H, with FMJ and holo. oh yeah. FAL works well too
