There are a lot of wizards in movies and video games and books. Unfortunately not all of them are as epic as Gandalf or Saruman. My favorite is the sorcerer from Willow the High Aldwin.
High Aldwin: [throws an apple into the air which turns into a bird] Go in the direction the bird is flying!
Burgelcutt: He's going back to village!
High Aldwin: Ignore the bird. Follow the river.
As well as Willow himself who is constantly failing his Use Magic Device check.
So i was wondering what wizards/sorcerers do you know of and how did they fail at there chosen professions? If you or a friend play D&D and have created a wizard/sorcerer who just couldn't seem to cut it feel free to share their stories.

Im guessing alotta of friendly fire as well not realizing how fragile your are ending in many near death experiences or just one. Wich reminds me in the epic Underdark game im playing in i used an earthquake poorly thought out nearly killed everyone and broke the encounter so that fuck up was pretty awesome in its epicness.person427 said:My first character in D&D was a wizard, and the DM never taught me how to play. You can imagine how that went.
