Hitler, Stalin, Pol pot, Ayatollah Khomenei, Bush. There are many terrible leaders, though I must say, Hitler is by far the worst out of them.

Actaully, Hitler was a fantastic leader. He had, as someone said, charisma. And he knew how to best use it. I'm not a history major, obviously, but just because he did horrific things doesn't mean you can ignore his good qualities, and that goes for anyone.

Except rapists.
Bush is/was a terrible leader, because, whatever his other failings, he has absolutely zero charisma. He failed public speaking, badly. If he was the son of God, Zeus, and the Kwisatz Haderach, he still wouldn't be able to effectively lead, and that's that.

There are doubtless worse leaders in the history of mankind, but I'm tired.
But Hitler made a lot of bad moves. The first was existing the second was getting syphilis the third was going to war and messing with the world especially Russia while fighting the rest of Europe etc. etc.

A squirrel with a tophat.
Needless to say, his reign didn't last long.

I have grown to think that Hitler wasn't that great of a leader, sure he got Germany out of depression but his country and the state became flawwed.

"A country that doesn't secure the rights to live, is obsolete,"(Twilight Zone), the quote is something along those lines.

Im surprised nobody else has said chavez, that guy hates you all
Well yes, he hates us, but what has he actually done?
Well, he supports wholeheartedly communism, and the terrorist organization FARC (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Farc) whom have been holding hostages in the jungles of Colombia for over 10 years. His campaign was founded by FARC, they gave him millions. Also by slapping the rest of the world in the face by refusing to call those guys terrorists but rather, revolutionists or political groups. I just hate the FARC and anyone who supports them

wow people need to know about what happens in the rest of the world.

Gorden Brown, Tony Blair, George Bush Jr. In that order.

I'm not a neo-nazi but the point has to be made that as far as fulling the role of a leader Hitler did his job freakin' well. Shame the chap was an insane racist.
no he fucking didn't he only stopped unemployment because he forced Jews out of jobs and replaced them with less skilled workers or just forced people into what was almost slavery.
a good leader has to provide a secure and fair environment in they country. which he didn't
it pisses me off hugely when Hitler did some good things.

How do you define good leader? Having a secure and fair enviroment actually is not hard and doesn't require much leadership to do. Changing a nation from democracy to dictatoriship and conquerring most of Europe does...

Well I think Hitler would top the list.
I wonder how long before someone says George W. Bush?
Actually, Hitler was a very good leader up until the Holocaust...

Robert Mugabe ranks up there with the worst.
Warren G Harding was one of the worst US presidents.
Emperor Tewodros II of Ethiopia, also known as "Theodore," was totally insane, split personalities and all that, violently insane, very violent.

They were just crazy, they were hardly rulers but they were bad if one judges them as Leaders.

Also to the people saying Hitler was a good Leader, no he led his country into several wars he had no chance of winning.

My vote for worst Leader would be Honorius, he just plain incompetent, though Charles the First also was fairly useless.

I didn't say he was morally correct or just but he did take a country that was in the depths of poverty and bring it up to superpower status...

He only conquered most of Europe becasue they were run by twats *cough*France*cough* and because he was encourage to fight a new kind of war.
Changing a nation form Democracy to Dictatorship requires only a huge problem to be faced (the depression) Hitler just lied and said it would solve everything (but without mentioning your loss of human rights and a genocide)

Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini.

I think this is my top 3. Close to them is Francisco Franco, but the only reason he's not as bad as those three is because "thanks" to him, Spain didn't suffer through WWII.

Although they did suffer a lot, almost as much as they would in the war.
