Would anyone be interested in a game about drug realms?

You start in a warp room next to a guide who wants you to enter each warp and defeat the god of each drug. Each warp room is unique and shows off certian points of the drug it represents, both good and bad. It will be similar to shadow of the colossus but with a lot more heavily themed bosses. (Acid god, MDMA god, ect.) Each warp room will give you a new skill related to that drug to use in other warp rooms.

Acid warp room begins very friendly and welcoming before turning on the player.
Herion warp room involves chasing a dragon until the player realizes he needs to just leave the warp room.

A lot of it is still in the discussion process but we are determined to make this game.

I remember a pacman clone called Happyweed where the power pellets in the levels were different drugs and gave different abilities related to the drug along with being able to defeat the ghosts, which were cops.

Megaman...you want to make a Megaman game with a drug theme...I know MN9 has basically ruined the market for pretty much anyone for at least 5 years, but c'mon, have the balls to come out and say it...

Seems like something with some potential o be interesting, but also seems like it would be far too strange to make much money. Also this would probably be a magnet for controversy and bad press if anything resembling a major news outlet found out about it.

Also you spelled Heroin wrong and it took me waaaay too long to figure out what you meant. Maybe I need a nap or something. lol

Sounds like you just have a bunch of random character, artifact and map assets and are trying to find a way to stitch them together into a singular theme.

I would but I need to ask:
Has anyone on the development team done the drugs you're going to represent?
Because if not then it's going to be a poor representation unless you do a ton of research (and if you're not going to do the research then you might as well change the theme of the game).

A game such as this could offer a greater insight (and therefore warning) about the dangers of drug abuse. While the concept for such a game sounds interesting, the message it conveys may potentially be the most valuble impact the game could have.

I... I... I live in a bad neighbourhood. Ever since I moved to this part of town, I have seen and heard of endless drug usage throughout my area. Usage has really spuiralled out of control recently due to the introduction of a new street drug - while in the past you might have seen an adult take a shot through their living room window, now everyone is doing stuff in public. Why, yesterday I saw a young girl - no older than 8 - use some drugs right in front of her parents and I! I've experienced friend and relatives casually take some of this new filth right in front of me as I visited! What's almost as bad is the economic impact of all this. I know people who spends fortunes on this stuff, and I often hear about the deplorable conditions that the harvesters of these drugs go through in order to keep prices low.

So I absolutely agree. A game made about the danger of doing cocoa is needed, not just for entertainment; but also for education.
