Lets say that in the US, crystal Meth is decriminalized. If that happened, do you think that major, mainstream companies such as Microsoft, Apple, McDonalds, Walmart, FOX, etc., would start manufacturing and selling crystal Meth, in the event of legalization?

I am talking specifically about crystal Meth.

Walmart probably would. McDonalds might.

The other companies don't really sell products that are close to meth.

I'm sure there would be new companies spawned in order to sell meth.

Probably not, considering a lot of the major companies don't sell any form of legal drug, so they wouldn't.
Some would, probably. Fox example, Walmart, Walgreens, etc., because they sell EVERYTHING.

Yes, definetly. The company that mass produces meth will make a killing.

EDIT: Ah, I forgot: Walmart would do it first.

Of course they would.

That is, of course they would if their goal was to get people to never ever buy products from them.

Selling crystal Meth isn't exactly good for your image.

Microsoft, Apple, McDonalds and FOX wouldn't because they don't sell alcohol or cigarettes (and some don't sell anything you consume).

Wal-Mart might because it sells both alcohol and cigarettes. The alcohol store chains certainly would.

No, bad for PR. I don't think parents would like a bundle of "the good stuff" next to their kids burgers.

They would. Wanna know why?

Most drugs you can break the addiction from. One tab of meth and you are addicted to it for life. It is always in the back of your mind. You are forever a slave, or forever nagged by the urge.

All the tobacco companies would glaze their thighs at the prospect of million upon millions of lifetime addicts at their disposal, opening their wallets every day for a fix.

Let's take a look at Tobacco and alcohol and ponder for just a moment...

HELL FUCKING TO THE YEAH!

It's addicting. Nothingn more to say than it is the perfect product. You get yoru regular brand loyalty and shit and you force people to go back for more!

I'd sooner want them to sell pot and opium, however(not heroin). The shit from the mass producing and consumption of meth would be awful.

What the hell would be the purpose of them selling it? All those companies you listed have practically no stake in any drug or pharmaceutical market. Besides, if meth was legalized, which I HIGHLY doubt it will, it will be extremely regulated and distributed ONLY by the government, as would any other drug they legalize.

Yes, of course. It's addicting, people will end up getting it, companies will make money. Big businesses don't care if you live or die or what happens to you. It's all about money and addicting substances make money.

No currently existing companies would pick it up but there would probably be new companies that spring up.
