Would you die for something physical, be it a ring, gaming console, some expensive junk or something along those lines? Would you kill for it? Lets just say it means worlds of importance to you.

I'd definitely fight for my stuff, But I am not willing to die for a fucking item. I can always buy another one, and if its one of a kind. Its still not worth putting yours or someone else's life on the line?

I would kill for a few but never die, but then again I would kill for a sandwich right now so maybe I'm not the best example.
where's my katana? I'm hungry.

If you're dead then it's no use to you, is it? There are very few things I'd die for, and a material possession definitely isn't one of them. I wouldn't kill for it either. Going to jail and living with that kind of guilt AND being unable to use that object...I'd rather just buy another one. If it's irreplaceable, well, at least I'm alive and I'm not responsible for someone's death.

Hell no, I wouldn't die for something that will just be looted off my dead body. But killing for something that sentimentally valuable would be a different story depending on the object in question...

Hell no. Unless it was a piece of theoretical equipment that would save the life of a loved one or fix the world. But not for anything..you know, mundane.
We all die anyway. Better to work at getting this nebulous 'thing'.

I'm pretty much decided with everyone here, I would never die for something that could be replaced, but I would kill for everything I own. I'm to poor to probably get anything else

But then... I wouldn't have it anymore...

I would kill for most of them though. I'm just wired that way.

I wouldn't die for one of my possessions but I would die for something that isn't mine.

If I died for one of my possessions I'd be dead, and therefore unable to enjoy the possession that I died for. So no.

This is an almost paradoxical question. A man dies to have an item, but being dead, cannot have the item, rendering his sacrifice pointless.

It might make sense if the item was really, really important. Like a nuclear missile launch key, but then your sacrifice would be to protect whoever the nuke's recipient would be. Sacrifice by proxy, get it?

Therefor, no. I'm almost sure NO ONE IN THE WORLD has, or will do such a thing. Least of all me.

If dying for that possession mean't the safety and peace of mankind for the rest of eternity, than I would.

Otherwise, its just an item, and I'll be dead, so I won't be able to use it.

I'd fight someone over my 360. But if you mess with my hard drive, I'll fucking kill you. It's one thing to take my games, but my saves and gamerscore are sacred.

No. I'd just be very regretful of it for the rest of my life, or not. Depends on the item really. I honestly can't imagine anything I'd die for though, because it would probably be destroyed right after anyway.

Sure maybe you don't really need them to make yourself happy, but damn it all if they are not a huge help.

OT: Dying for a possession is just plain silly. Even knowing what many have said is wrong, not all possessions are replaceable. You couldn't say replace a dead loved ones art work, or a family heirloom that has been passed down for generations. Killing is another story. I personally do not think I would kill for a piece of property, and even through I carry a weapon around pretty much everywhere I go, I probably wouldn't even try to use it in a mugging. The small amount of cash I carry isn't worth possibly killing someone over. I carry it for defense of myself and others only. But my personal beliefs would not keep me from understanding someone else's reasonings behind their actions. Home and life get mixed up for many people, and an attack one someones home maybe treated as an attack on someones lively-hood.

There's not a lot I would die for, and considering I can't use something when I'm dead, it just doesn't make sense to die for anything material.
