If they were poisonous it'd be kind of pointless to also taste bad. The person who'll be tasting will be dead anyway.
Animals can get a resistance to poison. In San Pedro De Atacama, Chile the water is laced with 60 times the lethal does of arsenic and they still drink it because they are immune. Tasting bad is still useful.

Fun fact: Sharks don't actually like the taste of human meat. They often take one bit and spit it out.
Fun fact: Sharks don't get diseases.

Pretty positive about that one.

Also, surely if something evolved to taste bad, you'd simply have an evolution in the other species where their mouth tells them it tastes good.

B. Evolve to taste bad for animal A.
A. Evolve to think that that taste is good.
B. Evolve to taste bad for animal A.
A. Evolve to think that that taste is good.

Rinse repeat.

It is a disease similar to Mad Cow. A previous poster mentioned it. Incurable degenerative neurological damage.
What's special about human meat that causes that?

If our airplane crashed into the side of a mountain, and the only means of survival was to resort to eating the person who took up two seats at a time, yeah, I'd eat human. If I was offered Ethically Harvested Human on just any other day, uh, NO. So extreme survival situation, yes. Just because? No.

Only if the other option was death.
Other than that I would never eat a human.

In other news I found this amazing new food. The nice gent who sold it to me called it "soylent green" or something.
If you like Soylent Green you should try Soylent Cola, it varies from person to person :p

Yes I would, I always wonder what the flesh of a sexy teenage girl tastes like

Yes, I would. It's not something I'd go out of my way to do. But if it was that or nothing, I'd do it. Plus, how many people would have a story like that to tell? lol

Well, considering human flesh isn't toxic when eaten, far as I know, and is supposed to taste like pork...

Yes. Granted, only if there's no alternative; willing cannibalism will probably get people lynched in most places.

Yes, yes I would. Provided that the prerequisite global collapse of society takes place first. I don't wanna go to jail for it.

Yeah, that only happens to cows because they're herbivores and aren't supposed to be eating meat in the first place. Or at least that is my reasoning for it.

If I thought I could get away with it, you bet I would! You see, it's a boyhood dream of mine to consume the flesh of as many species as I can get away with. Truth be told, it's not going well. I'm a fat white nerd, so the outdoors are my sworn enemy, which is why even though I'm living down here in Dixieland I haven't had deer, squirrel, possum, rattlesnake, or most of those other things yankees think we eat all the time. Human flesh, however, is the crown jewel of carnivores, and I would jump at the chance to consume the flesh of the same species as my most bitter enemies.

Only in a post-apocolyptic senerio where there's nothing else to eat, and if the humans were already dead.
