I'd probably follow a guy that just saved my ass. I mean, the guy can take bullets without flinching, why wouldn't I want him around to bail me out of trouble when I open mouth and insert foot? XD
This.

And if he dies... he'll be back.
what about T2 where he had to destroy himself?
John Connor had to do that for him because a robot can,t destroy himself.
Then again he did almost kill those bikers.

Well first I would tell Arnold what a big fan I am of Predator, and then I would follow him.

I would demand that he reveal his robot form.

It would make him 1000x more attractive.

Also yes.

Okay, a huge scary as hell biker with a shotgun tracks you to a shopping centre, shields you from several bullets (fired by police no less) and kidnaps you on his big Harley. He takes you so a quiet back-street and tells you he's a robot sent to protect you.

So Escapists, what do you do? Do you follow him, or run for your life? What do you make of this hulking, shotgun-toting guy in leather?

EDIT: As an added perameter, pretend this is a world where the movie I'm referencing doesn't exist.
Just to be sure I have this straight...

I have the option to run away from the robot that can run at superhuman speeds without tiring (but is on a motorcycle anyway), and has a projectile weapon? Im good. Ill stand and take my chances. Not only has he not killed me yet, but he saved me from the unhinged cop.

I wouldn't believe him that he was from the future, because I don't believe time travel will ever be possible. I do, on the other hand, believe that sophisticated and durable robots will be possible some day, so it stands to reason that they could exist now in secret.

A huge biker with a shotgun who can block bullets from his body... bullets that are aimed at me by policemen. I think I would follow him. It is obvious that something crazy is going down and if I don't have a robot blocking bullets for me, I may just be dead by the next day. Of course I would be asking the robot questions as to why it is protecting me and why the police want me dead.

Actually OP, at first I thought you were trying to reference Raising Arizona and not Terminator 2.

Oh and by the way it's "cyborg" - cybernetic organism - living tissue over metal endoskellluhdun.

(Connor figures out he's a terminator before he ever tells him)
waah, waah, waah. Oh quit with the semantics.
Actually, what I was using there is commonly referred to as "humor." Methinks you don't know what semantics are...
Semantics is the study of meaning. I was implying that you were reading too mu7ch into things, tho I may have misused it on this occasion, I couldn't remember a better word.

I see what you did there...

OT: I've always wanted a robotic father figure, to show me the true meaning of love.

I'd ask him to retrieve me a fresh set of boxers first, since my current ones would undoubtedly be heavily soiled.

Regardless of seeing said referenced movie, which was an awesome movie in my opinion, I'd go with him. For the simple factor he took bullets to the back for me, and has a shotgun. Ain't runnin with that shotgun around, no sir!

Does he have to do what I say?

Either way, hell yes. It's always good to have the robot bodyguard on your side.

I dunno... he interrupted my game of paintball, and totally cheated by giving outside assistance. Maybe just cost me the game.

Semantics is the study of the meaning of words, specifically using their history and evolution. If you were referring to the cyborg vs. robot "debate," though the comment was a joke, I didn't give you credit: you were correct.

I'd be hesitant because I'd be afraid he'd take over the state then cut vital public services and arrogantly refuse to resolve matters due to personal issues with other officials.

I don't think I could get away from him if I wanted to. Plus, he did save my life. So he's at least trying to keep me alive. So I'd probably follow him.
