Nope. Even in an open world game like that, I need something to keep me going even if it is poorly written quests.
I played them without a story.Wonderland said:Would you still played either Fallout: NV or Oblivion without a story?
I would have.
didnt have a story?afroebob said:NV didn't really have a story and Oblivion's story was one I didn't pay much attention because I was only about 13 when I played it.
Exactly this, word for word.SonOfVoorhees said:Without a story? Meaning main quest and side quests? No, that would of been boring and pointless. Its the reason i dont play online, the idea of killing and respawning again and again is not fun for me. Has to be a reason to do what your doing.
Wait what? Please explain.afroebob said:NV didn't really have a story.
What? Explain that?Whyso said:as far as i am concerned no western RPG has EVER had any story, at anytime at all
they have a structure but no story
I'm going to need the flame shield here but I liked Oblivion's story.Dagnius said:I didn't buy Oblivion for the Story. I found myself rather irritated with the story and just went off exploring or doing the side quests. I did eventually finish the story just to get rid of the oblivion portals popping up and ruining my trips through the forest... It was cool but nothing spectacular imo. I found the side quests much more entertaining.
