Stop preparing for something that ain't ever happening.
Nope. I don't believe in zombies either. But belief is not a prerequisite for posting what I would do if a zombie apocalypse were to occur, is it? :p

Fuck zombies.

They are like regular humans, only dead now. Or undead now. Something like that.

And I can take the average man in fisticuffs. I've got Jack Johnson and Tom O'Leary right here for ya *signals hands*.

So yes. Yes I could.

I think I might. Thanks to my WW2 vet grandpa, we have a fully functional nuclear bunker in the back, complete with enough food to last until the Second Coming, and enough weaponry to make a Taliban cry with happiness. bunker is soundproof. That, and Pres. Obama lives pretty damn close to me, so I think the military would be saving my ass.

No.

I am simply too broken nowadays to survive something like that for the long term. Whether I like it or not I'm dependant on society to survive and function.

Surviving the beginning would be a craps shoot for me, I'd have a chance, but I'm not going to start going off about zombie pwnage or anything. It depends on a LOT of variables such as whether I'm at home, abroad, or whatever.

In the long term however things that I feel I need like medication and such aren't going to be availible.

Being disabled (retired on social security) really blows chips, and leads to a sort of self contemplation that precludes most vainglorious power fantasies about becoming the dominant human warlord of a Zombie Dystopia. :p

I would try to take out as many zombies with me as I can if all else fails, like filling the house with as many explosives as possible so that if it gets breached I can take out every zombie in a 20 metre radius

28 Weeks Later zombies? fuck no, Dawn Of The Dead, maybe. I have a very strong survival instinct, several weapons, some very intelligent friends, I'm pretty strong and fast, as are my friends, and I live in a community with very few other people, in the woods. I'd say I'd have pretty good chance of survival if the zombies were DOTD type

If my brother gave me one of his swords, I would survive. If not, that would depend on how close the nearest machete distributor is.

I'd grab a frying pan and hope for the best, I'd most probably die. If my family got infected I'd be seriously pissed and probably run away as not to hurt them.

if the zombies were slow then hell ya i think i would have a good shot at surviving... for a while that is. Sooner or later I would be so lonely with my life that I would just run into the zombie crowd and let them tare me to pieces.

Probably not. But it's all based on luck, really. I'd be more worried about my heart giving up on me while running than the actual zombies.

I'd like to think that I'd stand a chance of survival, though I'd probably die in reality. I'd certainly attempt to go down fighting. I'd be much more prepared for an outbreak of the classic shamblers (ala The Zombie Survival Guide) than of the sprinters. The house I live in is in a somewhat rural area, and I'm pretty sure that with enough time, resources and people it could be fortified quite effectively against a small to medium sized horde for a decent period of time.

Weaponry wise I'm rather limited, living in the UK and thus lacking the ability to easily get my hands on a firearm. There is a crowbar in the shed, and probably some other tools that can be used as bludgeons. There is a hunting shop in the town about a ten minute drive from the house that sells shotguns and rifles and such, though realistically the chances of making it there and retrieving weapons before it is either infested by zombies or looted by other humans is extremely low. Worth a scout, at least.

Slow zombies I can take, but those 28 week later, fast as hell zombies I can't. I'm too big to outrun them for long and with how easy it is for them to infect you, you need to use long range weapons on them. Long range weapons run out of ammo eventually. Once the ammo is gone, I'm screwed.

There is a slim chance i might survive if i'm lucky, but odds are i wouldn't. Either way, I'd make sure to take as many of them with me as i could before going.

Probably could live through the intial zombie attack but I would probably not live long term. I eventually would crack.

I like to think I would, but I'd probably get about a week through before being killed...

If I was bothered to prepare for my zombie survival plan and buy the things necessary for my survival. The problem is that would mean moving further inland and buying a house boat which are very expensive but if I did these things I would be safe unless the virus starts with one of my neighbours or is airborne, but you couldn't create a realistic survival plan to combat those things anyway.
