Regardless of how well I supposedly know myself I wouldn't trust me if mine and my clone counterparts lives depended on it.

Very simply because I know the kind of things I would do if I knew I could get away with it, So my clone would make use of me as his new scapegoat.

He'd go on a rampage and i'd be held responsible.

After the initial shock, you and your double talk with each other and it seems that you both have lived the same life, sharing the same memories and knowing exactly the same things. Just like you, your double claims to have gone to bed alone in their room the previous night and woke up with a double next to them.

Knowing yourself and the type of person you are, would you trust this "clone" of yourself?

If you wouldn't trust this double, what would you do? Keep in mind that if you don't trust your double, they probably don't trust you either.

If you were to trust this double, what would you do with them? example: mischief? sharing the same life?

I'm such damaged goods (emotionally deadened, trust-issues) that trust is all I'm concerned about.

My clone would know this, and we would trust each other instantly, pool our resources, and cast our metaphorical nets to the sea for jobs, relationships, and all that other 'living stuff' without a care in the world, as we'd know we'd have ourselves to rely on. Rather than me always looking over my shoulder and second-guessing the motives of those close to me; planning for them to fail me in some way.

I actually asked myself this question a few days ago, while wondering why I actively don't want to bother with relationships.

I know I'm a good person, and I know how "variable" (Psycho bipolar suicidal) women can be, so my paranoia of betrayal or much-more-likely carrying another's baggage causes my "If 'x' object has >'y' probability of failure, do not proceed with 'x'" trigger.

Clone sex aside, I would probably have my clone sent to Europe, so noone would freak out about the extra me. I would keep in touch with him though, and we would probably hang out once in a while... HOLY SHIT. I could rob a bank while my clone hangs out in a public place, then when I am a suspect, I would have witnesses saying that I was nowhere near the crime scene...MWAHAHAHA!

Id immediately kill him. Since im already thinking that im sure he would be thinking the same. But 2 of me just wouldnt work. Yeah you could go to the same job and split days off etc. But the pay would half to be split as well. etc.

I'm fairly certain that two of me together could come up with some awesome scheme, so long as there was no-one else who knew there were two of me.

Plus, two people who have the exact same life experiences would be awesome in any form of a fight. One would know he would go left if he was in the other's shoes, so that one will know the person will go right, and wham, two pronged attack.

Perfect synchronicity (Not even sure if that's a word,) would be a huge advantage in a lot of things, team sports included.

(And all the people asking if it's gay or not, that's already been answered a lot. Its basically your twin in that respect.)

You could accept that sex is ultimately just nerve endings rubbing up against each other and the comfort of being mutually vulnerable with another human being who accepts you, and not worry about obeying sexual absolutes; mentally and emotionally free to foster mutual pleasure and comfort with those you trust enough to share yourself with. I guess this would be highly-selective pansexuality.

But yes, gay sex is gay sex, and you and your clone wouldn't do it if you didn't want to, and there would be no shame if you did.

If a straight dude were to ever wonder what it's like, and I know that there's no one here like that because we're all big, manly, vag-munching men, who better to experiment with than your clone? =p

I would totally trust myself. After all, I'm a stand-up guy.

We would fairly share workloads, and use our combined strengths responsibly and maturely, to better our lives and the lives of those around us.

The constant random effects of existing in different spaces would be enough to mentally distance yourself from yourself and establish a period of time for you to talk to yourself and calibrate your plans with yourself further without interrupting yourself.

Good point. That line of thinking also completely overules any shceming behind your own back. You would know. I know that if I make a scheme, i allways have a follow-up, a back-up and a counter, so that if anyone shceme against me i would be able to counter. Did anyone read the lastest Artemis fowl, where he goes back in time and has a stretegic fight with himself?

BTW: Would communication be necessary? You would both think the same and make the same conclusions right?
