Also I don't get why anyone would use so much time just to get a mount.. There are sooo many things i'd rather spend my time on.

So, if it takes you some 57 hours to make a Mars bar yourself, that makes it okay to price a Mars bar at some 500$?
Well, my comment was operating under the assumption that someone actually wants a nice looking mount. If it's as desirable as a Mars bar to you then of course it's a rip-off. However, most WoW players seem to like cool mounts, so for those people the $25 mount might actually be a better deal than the other more grindy options in game.
A mars bar can be very desirable. My point was that just because working for something yourself would be less cost effective than what the product is sold for, doesn't mean that the product's sale price is okay.
The fact is, their animators do a LOT more work for each and every single patch. That work is funded by the 15$ subscription that's divided over a LOT more stuff. So you can't look me in the eyes and say it's ok to charge people that much money for getting an animator to make a single model. Yes, not everyone's gonna buy it, but that still doesn't justify the fact, they're still raking in way too much money for way little work.
There's also the point of microtransactions having no place in a subscription based game (outside the areas where they're needed as gateways to prevent against too frequent (ab)use like with server/name change).
