I only just got Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare stand alone game from the PS store and the bugs i've encountered have required me to reload from the last save file for every mission because trying to do another mission or save a town from zombies without saving and reloading won't let the mission be completed.. and for saving a town, the zombies all became headless and armless normal people that still register as enemies despite walking a talking like normal people.. except them mission their heads and arms of course. i know the game is notorious for bugs and glitches. but the game is almost unplayable if i have to save and reload between every mission and activity.. is this because of me using cheat codes or is these common bugs that happen a lot?

I've never had any of those bugs happen to me when I played Red Dead Redemption or Undead Nightmare, so yeah, if you're using cheats then I think it's pretty safe to say that's the reason you're having issues.

That's not to say that glitches never happened, I did have a couple of times where mission objectives didn't spawn, or waypoints would take me to the wrong area, but those were few and far in between.

I just looked this up on a few other forums because I was curious and it seems that what you're experiencing is actually a known issue with the digital copy of the game going all the way back to 2011. It seems that the game didn't install properly so you're getting these issues with character models screwing up and missions not being completable.

I never had these issues because I had a physical copy of the game.

Apparently the way to fix it is to delete the game files (not the save files), redownload them, and hope really hard that they install properly the second time. This never got fixed as far as I can tell, so good luck.

I bought the complete edition a couple of years ago but I stopped playing when I got to Mexico. RDR just never really clicked with me...Something about Rockstar games in general just doesn't appeal to me when it comes to long-term play. At least the GTA series is highly populated but when it comes to RDR, I couldn't get over how barren things seemed to be.

I never had any real issues and I played that game a good bit.

One thing that really pissed me off about that game is of at any time any bit of your screen had the sun in it, even a pixel, your entire screen dimmed down. Really REALLY got on my nerves. Arma II had that issue real bad as well. That's not how you handle lighting and bloom, dummies.

Yeah, but that was kind of the point; the towns were just starting to spread out through the wastelands. It's supposed to be barren.

Mexico was the weakest point, I'll give you that, it was a bit too long but did kind of tie in with the narrative. However, like someone else pointed out, it being barren was kind of the point. It was supposed to invoke the old Westerns by every means possible. And a classic trope of that is the lone cowboy travelling through the desert.

I haven't had any problems like this. Ran just fine for me. Gotta be an issue with your console, or maybe a scratched disc or something.

you mean re download and uninstall the entire game?.. that would take hours to do. it's a big game, like 9GBs.. i'm not looking to wait 3-5 hours to redownload it right away.. but thanks for the info.. cause i couldn't find out what was wrong.

Man I miss the good old days when 9 gigs was considered big. These days I don't even bat an eye at a game being bigger than 20 gigs.

But yes, that is what I mean, redownloading and installing the entire game, all 9 gigs of it.

I have a PC. Max Payne 3 is 35 gigs and that came out in 2012. Since then file sizes have gotten even bigger and more ridiculous. Call of Duty Advanced Warfare is something like 50 gigs, Assassin's Creed Unity is 40 gigs. It's utterly insane. Goddamn uncompressed audio in multiple languages. Thankfully I have decent internet so something like 10 gigs takes me under and hour to download.

Really have to feel it for people with data caps. It takes people in Australia 3 months to download Advanced Warfare if they have a 20 gig cap.
