The best cure is to just do something else. Watch TV, read a book, play a videogame.

Probably half way watching a movie an idea will strike...

When I get writers block I usually will put on my iPod, go out and walk around for a while just listening to music and thinking about whatever comes into my head. When I get home and sit down at my laptop I usually find that the ideas can flow freely again.

Fantastic films, books, music and occasionly games.
Search for inspiration in the things you love, I also find hopping on a train and just riding for a few hours can start thoughts flowing again.

Take a walk.

Usually, I just go back over my notes and see if there's anything I could have improved in my past writing. While I'm fixing it, my muse usually returns and I go back to writing.

i recommend reading a short story(books take too long), watching a movie, or listing to music.
[/bland answer]

in all actuallity i suggest going into a city and watching the madness on the streets. Or perchance do something completly out of the ordinary. if you watch alot of "variable X" movies, books, games, music, then go and listen to "variable Y".

suggestions:

you watch action movies watch a drama(trainspotting, requim for a dream, etc..)
you listen to rock listen to smart rap (immortal technique, aesop rock, vakill)
you play lots of "simple/normal" games play some artsy ones(killer 7, ico, flower, okami)
you get the drift...different.

that usually helps me out.
